Perfect family vacation, peaceful, beautiful, and full of kindness This was our first time in Neoi Epivates and at Getaway Apartment. We are a family with three kids, and we couldn’t have asked for more. The location is ideal, situated in a quiet area with a long sandy beach, shallow, clean water, and a lovely promenade for evening walks. The apartment is modern, beautifully designed, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable. Honestly, it is the best place we have ever stayed at, in Greece. Everything is brand new and well-maintained. There are mosquito nets, fans, air conditioning, and even a washing machine with high-quality gel capsules, which was a big plus for us as a family. The large shaded terrace and the peaceful garden made our stay even more relaxing. And what truly made this experience special were our hosts, Eliaj and Roula. Their presence was warm, thoughtful, and never intrusive. They surprised us with homemade Greek sweets, always had a helpful answer to our questions, and when our son injured his foot, they stayed with us for hours at the hospital on a Sunday, helping with translation and support. Their daughters even brought him games to cheer him up during recovery. We deeply appreciate everything they did for us. Their kindness and care made us feel truly welcome, safe, and at home. This was more than just a holiday. It was a beautiful, human experience that we will never forget. If you are booking a place in Greece and looking for a peaceful stay, wonderful hosts and a spotless modern apartment, this is the right place for you. We are already looking forward to coming back.

The apartment is very clean and spacious, two minutes to the beach. The beach is several kilometers long, maybe eight, the sea is wonderful, there are no stones, a sandy beach. You can go to the airport and Thessaloniki by bus, but the owner was very nice and for a nominal fee brought us and took us to the airport. The apartments have everything we need and Vicky and Angelos welcomed us with local delicacies. You have at your disposal the entire first floor of the house and a nice yard. The neighborhood has low-rise buildings, private houses, the neighbors know each other and it is a very pleasant and safe area. Many restaurants, shops around. I really liked the restaurant at the end of the street on the right, by the beach. Good prices, delicious food, friendly staff, live music. Sincere thanks to Angelos and Vicky for their hospitality. Felt like home. I recommend this place.

This is a great place for a short family vacation,...

This is a great place for a short family vacation, especially with children. The sea is shallow, making it very convenient for kids to swim – you can walk quite far into the water and it still remains shallow. The area itself is peaceful and quiet, with plenty of parking available. I recommend coming by car, as the town itself is small and doesn’t offer much in terms of attractions. If you want to explore the surroundings, having a car makes things much easier. However, there is a boat that goes from the town to Thessaloniki, which is a great opportunity to see the sights of the city and enjoy a pleasant sea trip back. What else can I say? It’s a calm and relaxing place, but probably not ideal for more than about five days, as the main attraction is the beach and swimming in the sea. In my opinion, staying longer might become a bit boring. That said, it’s a wonderful spot to recharge. The beaches are great, and all the people we met – waiters, staff, and locals – were very kind and friendly. There’s no pushy sales or unnecessary services, just a nice, welcoming atmosphere. There are also many charming restaurants along the waterfront and in town, offering options for every taste and budget, making it easy to relax and refresh your mind.

It's very quiet and relaxing location, close to the beach. There are not many markets/bars - most are concentrated in the centre of the village. The hospitality of the locals was great. It's easy to visit the city by public transportation. You can rent a car and visit Kassandra and Sythonia where nice beaches are located. The proximity to the airport is also a great advantage.

If you love traditional Greece, this is for you.

If you love traditional Greece, this is for you. You can walk along to lots of different beaches. Most tavernas did not charge for sun chairs you just needed to buy drinks from them. Peraia walkable in 15 mins more commercial location. Good bus 90 cents to various locations including Thessaloniki, or a boat from the local pier. Soo many lovely restaurants and bars all along the seafront. Sea was soo warm, when we visited in June. Very shallow, so great if you have little ones, you can walk out a long way and still be only up to your waist.

It is a calm, small town on the suburbs, less busy than Thessaloniki, It is perfect to chill out on the beach and have a supper in one of the restaurants (many options to choose, also vegetarian), average price for two (with wine) is 35eur. There is a big market, a small shop nearby, a cafe and a long and clean, public beach with beach bars offering cocktails, snacks. On Friday there was an open market (bazaar). Good connection by bus (1,1eur) to the airport and Thessaloniki (45 min)

Me and my family like this region because it is close to big...

Me and my family like this region because it is close to big city (Thessaloniki ) and in the same time you are in the sea resort. Here you can find a lot of Greek restaurants, long walking alleys along the sea. You also can find night clubs with young people if your don't want to rest :)

This small town has everything you need on holiday: a lovely beach with gently sloping sand and shingle, clean warm water to swim and plenty of cafes and restaurants all along 1.5km in each direction. The promenade takes you along to Pereia which has more shops, bars and restaurants, good for sunset watching, but there is a good selection of restaurants and cafes in Neoi Epivates itself. Food is delicious and good value - from pizza and gyros to souvlaki, seafood and salads. In the town centre there are 2 supermarkets, a bakery, pharmacies, a print centre, and various small shops. On Fridays the local market sells fresh food and some textiles. There is a regular bus service to Pereia. and to Thessaloniki via the IKEA bus terminal, and several ferry services each day. Local people are friendly and can help in several languages.
