This is one of the nicest places that a friend recommended to my family. We really felt like home during our stay at Castle Suites. The rooms are so cozy and clean; all the friendly faces around the hotel and in the restaurant are always so welcoming. Our favorite things were the very clean pools, the delicious breakfast and the beautiful gardens all around. The kids loved playing at the children’s pools, feeding the cats and going to the playground. I’m positive we won’t stop coming back to our second home 

Everything was perfect - the staff were exceptional nothing was a problem. it was a happy place to be and we made friends. Spotless cleaning each day by the cleaning ladies. I broke the key in the lock and it was sorted out in no time and no charge. The bar staff were so brilliant and the Tuesday night greek dancing was the best night we had in Crete - highly recommended. The Chef took great pride in his food and so he should - it was homemade and so tasty. we loved the beach chairs and he always had a warm smile to greet us each day ❤️ ❤️

Above and beyond. Our host was fantastic, took great care, just like an aunt would, with lots of tips and tricks, recommendations and advice on how to not fall for the old' tourist traps. Definitely recommend the place, it has a generous terrace with a very nice sea view. And again, Angela, our host was the nicest host we ever had in Greece, and we've been coming to Greece for the past 15 years. So, thank you, Angela!

We stayed in Alkionides for 7 days and it was abolutely fantastic. The room unfortunately did not have sea view, but it was very clean and modern. Room service is doing cleaning and towel change at daily basis. We enjoyed ourselves having delicious breakfasts in a very cosy hotel restaurant, the owners are very friendly, they offer home-made orange jam, olive oil and domestic fruits, there are various dishes to choose. We highly recommend this place!

Kristina. I have been to alot of hotels and apartments. But none Can compare to How helpful she was. If you needed Help, she was there right away. So GOOD service. The rom was Also very Nice. And the bed was very comfertable. Room was very clean. Beautiful view to the sea. The Supermarket was next door, and it was just 1 minute to the beach! We loved our stay here and we are definately coming back!

    We went during school holidays so it was pretty busy but the tourist high street was quiet during the day while everyone was on the beach. The food was excellent. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. The beach bars were also good. The Cretans were very friendly and helpful. Crete has plenty of interesting sites to visit both inland and on the coast. We would happily return.

    Plataniás is bustling - very busy full of shops (which are great) and restaurants. There are, unfortunately, too many places serving chips with everything! We wish there had been some more options, i.e. rice, authentic Cretan dishes, taverna based meals, but it is what it is. There was no need for a car - most places were walkable. Our villa was amazing, but we would not return to Plataniás - it seemed to have dropped down a notch since our trip last year. We saw quite a few young (and older) men walking around shirtless and some girls dressed quite inappropriately. I'm not a prude, but it made the area far less salubrious than it should be.

    I don't usually like touristy places but Platanias had a lovely feel about it. Not too many people, although this may have been because we went in September. We visited the War Museum - definitely worth it. Also went to John the Hermit cave and monastery at Kissimo which were unbelievable. Beach was great and snorkeling trip fantastic and well looked after.

    Touristy beach town extending along one road with lots and lots of restaurants, bars, hotels etc. lovely to get away from the road onto the beach. Beach was calmer and more relaxed away from the town centre.

    The staff is very kind, smiley and helpful. Rooms are cleaned daily, and the hotel, including the pools, is spotless. Breakfast options are varied and meet different dietary needs. Several trips to historical sites and the most beautiful beaches in the Western coast of the island can be booked via the hotel. The hotel is literally on the beach, and only 20 min via bus to Chania. Overall, a very good experience at Caldera Bay.

    Perfect location, close to many great restaurants. Extremely friendly staff who went above and beyond for us. We had a late flight and the staff let us stay and use the pool all day, as well as booking us a taxi to Chania. The room and balcony are very spacious and the aircon worked very well. My girlfriend and I had the best time and would highly recommend!

    My stay overall was very good. The location was perfect, close to the beach and there are many restaurants and bars nearby, and you get a nice swimming pool. In addition, there is a bus stop that can take you to Chania. The room was overall clean, and the staff are nice!
