Perfection! This was my second time and will return again . The fantasy of living in the middle of olive grove in  Greek village distantly from top of the hill  overlooking  stretch of beach,  is more attainable than you might think. Place itself features its own ornamental gardens by pool and dining area. One moment you catch yourself smelling lavender, other honeysuckle, hear buzzing bees. Dont be fooled by thinking of boredom, there are available hands on cooking class , olive oil and wine tasting  clases . What could be better- to Cook in middle of greek garden 5 course meal with people around the world and later under olive tree enjoy this food. If you are ready for some coctails Michail by  pool will whisk you best greek  lavender sour or greek Spritz. No loud shows or dances at night time ( which is perfect by me) , but  cinema . And if you have special movie in mind , just ask reception. Reception and all staff - you are so special! You all made my stay  comfortable, safe and unforgetable. Thank you and see you soon , because returning to you place is like returning to family.

The breakfast is nice with eggs, bacon, cake, fruit etc. The restaurant/bar has nice food and by the pool. There is not a big menu but the price is not high. There is also a toddler pool too. The staff was nice. Free tennis court & mini-golf & basket. There is a supermarked in walking distance from the place. You can hike or visit the historical Monastery of Arkadi or the beautiful mountain city Meronas.

Totally recommended for a peacefull and rustic stay.The staff of the place are awesome people.The room is not too spacious but it was comfortable enough with basic amenities that covered my needs.Local food in the restaurant was amazing,tasty and value for money.I was covered up by the staff of any concern i had about my accomodation.The hotel isn't in the same location as the restaurant but 200 metres away (By the moment the owners clarify that hotel and restaurant are in different location and they offer on demand free transfer for me is not a problem).The owners gave me also any information i needed about the area

The location was absolutely excellent—quiet, serene, and incredibly peaceful. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle, it offered a perfect oasis for relaxation. Hello Maria, first of all me and my family want to thank you again for the wonderfull stay. We stayed with our big family (with 7people) for 10 days. At arrival Maria handed over the housekeys and garagekeys, she also gave us alot of tips of local taverns, restaurants, supermarket, places to go, etc... The house is perfect with 4 big bedrooms with AC (very important) each with an own balcony, 2 bathrooms, livingroom, fully equipped kitchen and a big terrace with stunning view. Outside there's a swimmingpool, jacuzzi, big terrace with a gas-bbq and also a fully equipped kitchen. Maria came by everyday to cleanout the swimmingpool, jacuzzi and check if we needed anything. The location of the villa is around 45 minutes drive to the beach (closest Northbeach Rethymnon, closest Southbeach Agia Galini) , along the way you will passby alot of local towns and get amazing views of the nature. The kids can make as much noise as they like and play in the pool as much as they want. There are no neighbors, only you, your family and the nature. Maria also instisted to make us a dinner for my family, she made us a local pasta dish for the whole family with selfmade tzatziki and local vegetables. It was delicious!!! I would recommend everyone this villa, if you're looking for a stressfree and well rested holiday. We would definitely come back again in the future Best regards Lin

My visit to Thronos was nothing short of magical.

My visit to Thronos was nothing short of magical. The village’s peaceful ambiance, with its narrow streets and traditional stone houses, feels like stepping back in time. The warm hospitality of the locals, especially at places like Aravanes Hotel, where owners Titos and Eleftheria treat you like family, adds a personal touch that’s hard to find elsewhere. There’s plenty to explore, from the historical Monastery of Arkadi, just 9 km away, to the stunning St. Anthony Gorge and the ancient ruins of Eleutherna, both within a short drive. The village itself is rich in history, sitting on the site of ancient Syvritos with remnants of an early Christian basilica. For food lovers, tavernas like Aravanes Taverna and Patsos Traditional Taverna serve mouthwatering Cretan dishes made with fresh, local ingredients—don’t miss the vegetarian-friendly options!
