Loved this place. Great location close to heraklion but also rural. The old village style of the hotel felt authentic even though it's not, the outside restaurant seating area with views under the trees was stunning.Great food. Most of all I loved the fact that we were made to feel very welcome, Chris and Georges in the restaurant were particularly attentive, chatting to us and answering all our questions. Oh and not forgetting the cats, dog, goats and parrot.

Our hotelroom was very comfortable and very clean. The interieur design of the room has a modern atmosphere and was exactly like shown in the pictures. Toilet and shower were separated, which gave us a good comfort. I liked the black style of the bathroom. There are many different light options in the room, so you can create an atmosphere as you want. The black curtain darkens the room very good, so it’s easy to sleep in darkness. Finally the room was very clean, they took a lot of care to keep the room clean. The area (restaurant, pool area, gym) is very clean too. The pool has a good size for swimming or getting a refreshment by hanging around in the water. There are sunbeds in the shade or sunbeds in the sun, giving you the opportunity to choose your place as you need. We just booked breakfast and we were completely confident with the things they offered for breakfast. It’s very fresh and they change the offered food a little daily. The best at the hotel was the staff! The women working at the reception, in the restaurant or the room service were excellent, helpful and absolutely lovely. The area around the hotel is supreme too. You just need to walk maximum 2 minutes to get to the beach (a long sandy beach, where you can easily enter the sea to swim or cool down). There are many shops and different restaurants, which you can reach by walking. The bus stop is maximum 2 minutes walk far from the hotel. The bus takes you in approx 15 minutes to the center of Heraklion.

Very nice apartment with a small terrace. Enjoyed the heated Jacuzzi as the water temperature was easily regulated and it was very pleasurable even the outside temperatures were already around +15 (on November evenings). Location is great if you have a car (free parking available on site), but there is also a bus stop right in front of the suites complex - so it is very easy to go to town and back using public transport. Breakfast of decent quality is served in a very nice and bright room with a view of a large swimming pool, and we especially loved the device allowing us making a freshly squeezed orange juice on our own.

Spotlessly clean & well maintained with staff that are genuinely nice & helpful, the pictures are totally accurate. Really good double glazing so you can barely hear outdoor noise & rooms are comfortable with modern equipment. Plenty of space at the pools & the breakfast was fresh & tasty. We asked for late checkout & our room wasn’t available but they gave us another, better room for the day which made such a difference to the last day of our trip. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything in this hotel was incredible! Delicious meals (a lot of different options to choose from), super clean rooms, the nicest staff (every single person being smiley and lovely to talk to), amazing beach near by (with hotel’s own beach bar and sunbeds) and over all really beautiful hotel. Vanisko hotel really exceeded my expectations. Everything was absolutely amazing. From the car parked outside, you could leave the key at the reception and they would have moved it without even disturbing you and the car was always close to the entrance. The people of the hotel were the things I loved the most. From the people at the reception desk, always smiling and happy to help, to all the people of the restaurant, always available and nice. I really really loved it. I never seen such a high quality people in a hotel. Food was amazing with a large choice possibility. The swimming pool was outstanding and the room was so so so perfect. I got a free upgrade of the room and my room was literally stunning. Also all the cleaning ladies in the rooms where so nice and helpful. I really really reallly recommend this hotel. Quality price also was amazing.

Hotel transferred us to another hotel because of their renovation. They took care of it very smoothly and we had a night at a very nice hotel "Vaya Suites" as well, with a luxurious breakfast. The staff said that there is Netflix but there wasn't. The room had his own jacuzzi- super nice thing, pleasant to have one after a long day.
