Many vendors cannot understand “no”and follow us everywhere we we go nagging and nagging and very annoying. One followed us to our hotel another followed us to the restaurant.
The market is not all that as Antigua has a market and Guatamala City has central market with equal products and food. I found out they charge more on Thursdays and Sundays because of the tourists.
The local restaurants quality of food is terrible.
We ate at San Juan and Las Brasas
Not worth going to Chichicastenango.

I LOVED this hotel. it was like stepping back in time to when it was built in the 1930s - it seemed to have hardly changed since then. it was beautifully furnished with antiques and there was even a bell to call someone to light the fire in your bedroom. it was a great experience, especially compared to the very basic accommodation we’d had everywhere else in Guatemala.

The hotel is a beautiful and charming piece of architecture located right in the middle of town. Rooms are spacious and cozy, with a fantastic fireplace that staff will light up for you at night to keep you warm. Beds are comfortable and clean. We loved every minute of your stay

hotel room was very clean, restaurant was nice and affordable,
you need car or taxi if you need go to to the town or any other place since hotel is located ad the road between quiche and chichicastenango.
staff were friendly.

I wish I could stay longer. What a privilege to stay with this Family. If you want to see people connected to their history, roots, customs this is the place to stay. If you want plastic-fantastic generic hotel don't bother.
