Set in attractive grounds in a small, typically Guatemalan community just outside (5 minutes by Uber) from the centre of Antigua, with stunning views of hills and volcanoes. Casa Buho is a family run bed and breakfast hotel with exceptional quality rooms. This was a great place to stay as we had already spent a month in town, but would also be good if you want to be away from the noise and bustle of the town.

Staying in this hotel was a great experience. There’s a strong and precise concept behind its set-up. The aesthetic is faithful to the colonial style, with big attention to the details. The furnishing reflects the style of the building and is somehow “essential”. I appreciate this kind of concept a lot, so I felt like at home. The atmosphere is very relaxing… there are plants all around attracting many brids tweeting in the morning. Rooms are very clean. There’s people doing maintenance to the garden and the structure every day and the staff was always kind and careful.

Gustavo the owner really cares about your stay , and wants to make it as good as possible. You’ll notice some nice details like USB plugs, laundry bags, blanket, coffee & biscuits, hair drier, nice bedding, Netflix etc, it’s all good. And all really clean, and full of character, and all of the staff are really nice.

It was a really beautiful and calm place to live. Very special. We did not see its equal while staying in Antigua, despite eating in the restaurants of other similar hotels.

A wonderful hotel that is part of a charity so the profits go to good causes. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly. It's in a quiet location on the edge of the centre. This has the positive that it's quiet and is only a 5 minute walk to the main square. The restaurant next door is also good and is only open until 9pm which helps keep evening noise down.
