The accommodation perfectly met our expectations. The room was clean with a comfortable bed, a balcony and AC. There was a shop and the beach right across the street. The shared bathroom was clean and I only had to wait for a few minutes once. I've read many reviews complaining about the staff. Based on my experience, the owner only knows a few words of English, but she is very friendly and helpful. I always got the information I needed, and we even had a nice chat by combining different languages. The only other staff member we met was the cleaning lady, who only speaks Croatian but always greets you with a smile or a few words. The breakfast was really nice. There were three types of cereal, apples, bread, toast, jams, Nutella, honey, processed cheese, biscuits, salty cheese, millet porridge, coffee, tea, milk, and water. After a while, the owner also brought chilled water, fruit juice, and scrambled eggs to each table. Unfortunately, we left too early because pancakes were being prepared in the kitchen :) Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would happily have stayed a few more days.

It's a beautiful, cozy small village with nice views and...

It's a beautiful, cozy small village with nice views and beach. No crowd but there are groceries, market, bar and beach. Also you can visit the near national park for climbing or hiking where Winnetou was filmed. I can recommend it for 1-3 days.

It's a tiny town with two shops and two restaurants, but it has its own unique atmosphere – it's not crowded with tourists. The restaurants have similar menus and prices, and they also have terraces overlooking the sea. There's a cave in Rovanjska – I recommend booking a tour (for those who aren't claustrophobic, there are several very narrow passages).

A quiet place with few tourists.

A quiet place with few tourists. This meant you could always find a spot on the beach. There are many excursion options. Paklenica National Park is very close by. It's less suitable for partygoers.

Rovanjska is a good starting point for many trips.

Rovanjska is a good starting point for many trips. For example, a boat trip on the Zrmanja River from Obrovac to the mouth of the Novigrad Sea, then Velika and Mala Paklenica, Tulove Grede where scenes from the Vinetu films were filmed, or Berberov Buk where there is wonderful swimming in the Zrmanja River.

Rovanjska offers several restaurants where you can eat well, a nice bar right on the beach, and another restaurant. The beach is a clean pebble beach with showers and a changing room. There's a small bakery and a Studenac supermarket on the main road. In Posedarje, there's a large supermarket (Plodine), and just before Zadar, there's a huge shopping center (Supernova).

It might not be the place for people who like discos and...

It might not be the place for people who like discos and crowds. For us, it was very pleasant, as we don't like that kind of travel and prefer smaller, less crowded places. I don't know what it's like in the summer, but in June it was absolutely beautiful. No litter lying around, and the surroundings were well-maintained.

We stayed in room #4. The location is excellent. It is close to the motorway, close to the sea and close to a mountain range. As a result, it has nice views. The room was small, it had a nice balcony with a good view. Be aware that you have to climb a long staircase to arrive at the rooms. There is a small grocery store just behind the hotel. About 200 metres down the road is a "bakery". The receptionist spoke Serbian, Croatian, German and English.

Newly built villa with modern equipment in a quiet location, right next to the beach.The pine forest smells behind you. I appreciate the large pool, where I swam comfortably.The beach bar is 50 meters from the accommodation, they will prepare pizza for you while you wait.There is also a small supermarket and bakery in Rovanjska. I appreciate the proximity to the beach, the quiet place and the beautiful environment near the Velebit mountains

Nice place to stay, close to the sea. The courtyard with the turtles is really cosy and provides a lot of welcome shade on a hot day. Restaurant Rovanjska is where you want to go for dinner, it's great. Bakery for breakfast around the corner.
