This is really an amazing place to be. Located in a very small village in the mountains and forest everywhere. The village is itself very nice, amazing quiet, you only hear the birds at daytime and the crickets at night. Everything basis you need is in the village, a supermarket, a place to drink coffee and eat. The hostel is located in a white community building. Place is very clean. People in the hostel are very friendly and the people in the village too. Room is nice. Toilets and showers are abundant. Hourly busconnection from the village to Szob (and some other little villages and sometimes even direct bus to Vac) with bus 350 and 354. Takes 15 minutes to Szob. There you have hourly - or more - a train to Budapest Nyugati station and also westbound trains to Slovakia, Sturovo, Bratislava and all the way to Brno and Prague. Really good place to get positive energy and relax. English is not widely spoken, one lady could speak very good German. But people will help you, even if you don't speak Hungarian. If you need party life, take a train to Budapest and come back after the party and relax and re-energize in Marianosztra. Place is so nice actually, that one might not even need wifi (wifi was also very good), but you will actually start to live really. Muzea are also in the village and there is a steamlocomotive-line to Szob. There is also a kitchen downstairs, also very clean with all facilities you need.

Fantastic conversion of a water tower into four suites with all you could wish for in facilities, ambience, quality of finish and quirky railway furniture - very innovative. Couldn’t wish for more!! Thoroughly recommend. The owner is a very helpful, friendly person.

Well, firstly, great price for value. Second, really nice staff (and her cute cat) came to greet us. Third, great rooms, nice interior, and perfect private area. Moreover, there was also a great communal area for relaxing, really cozy. Bathrooms are very well equipped. 100% recommending.

I really liked that the property was clean, new, and thoughtfully prepared. The host paid attention to so many little details — there were almost all the essentials in the kitchen, a great selection of coffees and teas, plus some extra touches like syrups, chocolate powder, and cute mugs. Everything you might need for a short stay was there. The same goes for the bathroom — there were shampoos, conditioners, and extra bits in case you forgot something. I also loved the selection of oils for the sauna, the separate towels for the jacuzzi, the blankets for the sauna, and the robes to walk comfortably back to the house.

Very nice, almost magical, amazing little village in the...

Very nice, almost magical, amazing little village in the mountains, close to the Slovak border with forest everywhere. Muzea, and a little steamlocomotive-line connecting Szob with Marianosztra. All the basis facilities are in the village. Village itself is clean, well maintained, very quiet, with friendly people, a cafe, supermarket ABC, restaurant, forest and mountains everywhere and amazing safe. Feels like a good place to meditate or pray or you be in touch with God and nature. If you need anything else, a hourly - or sometimes more frequent - bus 350 and 354 takes you in 15 minutes for 400 Forint - pay cash to the driver - to Szob trainstation. Szob is located at the beautiful Danube. Szob has directly hourly trainconnections with local trains and Eurocity trains to Budapest Nyugati station, right in the center of Budapest with all the party-life. Train to Budapest is only 1300 forint, one way ticket.
