Lovely people and nice restaurant with Hungarian dishes. The room and bathroom were clean, and we enjoyed the accommodation and Tatabánya. Sometimes there are events at the accommodation, when we were there, there was a huge barbecue that they had been preparing for days. There is a bakery down the road, and stores in the city center. During our stay in Tatabánya we went Via Ferrata climbing, and hiking to the nearby cave and viewpoints. We also went swimming in the Öreg-tó lake in Tata (15 min drive)

Hotel Gottwald was such a nice surprise. We booked it for a one-night stopover on our family roadtrip. This hotel exceeded our expectations with their level of service and amenities. We loved the pool and wellness center and even booked a last-minute massage on-site. The meals were great on a lovely outdoor terrace. Very charming.

The location is very central and very close to the lake area where you can find the most of the attractions. It has access to the highway and to different type of stores in case you missed to bring something with you. The location has its style and inside there is a courtyard with access to SPA but also to the garden. A place where you can eat something but also sit for a nice drink. We went to Tatabanya exclusively for Via Ferrata. They are excellent and harder then expected. Picnic place is very interesting. The city itself is an old mining town, but the closeness to nature is an excellent thing.

Nice Forrest what gives joy to visit, and very nice hotel in the heart of the city. Hotel Arpad is the best choice. Places to eat with nice food all around the city. Turul bird as the city’s attractions with the cave must sees.

If you have car trouble near here, there are many helpful car dealerships and auto mechanics in this town. Not a bad place at all to get stuck for a day. Nearby Tata has some historical sights for you as well. Don't miss the preserved examples of communism!

The hotel is in front of a football stadium and if there’s a game, you will have prime seats to view it from your hotel balcony. When we were there, there was no game, but athletes atarted their training 7 am, making it an unusual but very interesting experience.makes it feel like a sky box. Also, the spa/aqua complex is only 10 minutes away, warm pools & jacuzzi & slides await for you to jump in. Everyone’s polite & there’s a level of respect towards each other in the pools, nobody’s shouting, jumping, or splashing.
