What an amazing place this is! I had such a great time here. Even though it was the rainy season and I couldn’t hike Mount Rinjani, I met an incredible guide named Yadi, who showed me the rice fields and some hidden gems I’d never have found on my own. The owner Yasmine, is absolutely fantastic! We laughed so much together and played cards, she was a good sport about losing every single time to me ;P. I even got to meet her family and we had a delicious BBQ with duck. And let’s not forget the chef Rajang, his cooking skills are on another level! He’s always ready to whip up something amazing for you. I’m definitely coming back in a few months to climb that mountain with Yadi. This place is a solid 10/10 🤍❤️

Staying at Rudy Trekker Guest House was the perfect start to my Rinjani adventure. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and well cared for. The check-in was smooth, and they immediately helped me prepare for my trek with clear explanations, tips, and a genuine concern for my safety and comfort. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet — exactly what you need before taking on a challenging hike. The hot shower and air conditioning were a blessing, and the bed gave me a truly restful night’s sleep. Their restaurant serves delicious local food, and the pool with jungle views is a wonderful bonus to relax before or after trekking. What impressed me most, however, was the hospitality and thoughtfulness of the team. They made sure I had everything I needed, patiently answered all my questions, and checked that I felt confident and safe before starting the climb. I never felt like just another guest; I felt genuinely looked after. If you’re planning to trek Rinjani, I can’t recommend Rudy Trekker enough. Their warmth, professionalism, and care for both guests and the mountain make them stand out in every way.

I stayed for just one night here as I was off to climb Rinjani the next morning - so I just needed a comfortable bed/room, and as for the rest - ask and you shall be given (usually). Agung and Tina were kind enough to lend me their travel adapter, and Tina even made me a herbal drink to help settle my tummy before the climb. And the 3 kids of course, what a delight to see them running around! And breakfast was right on the dot, needless to mention delicious :)

I arrived late at night after a long ferry and drive and someone was waiting for me and just showed me straight to my room. The room was private and comfortable, the staff were super lovely and the banana pancakes for breakfast were amazing! If you’re trekking Rinjani I’d definitely recommend staying here and booking with these guys as well! Super easy and the tour is all inclusive and you can leave your bags at the property :)

Delicious breakfast included. We also had a wonderful dinner (extra pay) that was cooked for us by the owner. Absolutely amazing, friendly people and very cute little boy who run the Homestay. We loved the peace and quiet in the rice fields. Be aware that it is a more isolated location. We wished we had rented scooters to get around.

Poetri Bungalow is the best place to stay in Senaru, beautiful views on the jungle and Rinjani mountains, very clean and comfortable rooms and good restaurant. Not to mention Ita who is a 5 stars host she helped me book a trek on Rinjani for cheaper than anywhere else, with a great guide. She was also very flexible and understanding when I had to cancel my last night. Will definitely come back here when back in Senaru!

The boss 😊 has been really helpful providing me with all the info to get from Gili T to Rinjani and arranging a tour nearby with the nicest guy I have met in Lombok, Andy! The room is spacious, comfortable and modest, but perfectly aligned with the price I've paid.

One of the best homestays we have been to on our journey! The whole area is very calm and relaxing (except for the daily prayers from the mosque nearby). Homeowner provides earplugs. The room was very clean and the bed so comfortable. Because you are a bit higher up the mountain it gets a bit chilly in the evening and so the bed and blanket get even more comfortable ;) There is only a fan in the room but it is more than enough because of the lower temperatures you will not realy need it. They also have a small restaurant were they serve delicious breakfast. You can also have lunch/dinner there. We can only recommend to try their food because it was one of the best meals we had on our journey. Also the portions are a bit bigger than usual in Indonesia. They also organise and make private tours up Rinjani mountain. They gave us a lot of information and offered a very fair price.
