Colonial Town and Shopping Paradise
With a cooler climate than other cities on the Java Island, Bandung is located at an altitude of 768 metres, surrounded by tea plantations and the Parahyangan Mountains. During the 17th and 18th centuries, the Dutch East Indies Company (VOC) established several plantations and built a road linking to the capital, becoming the base for future expansions.
