the property was lovely and spacious, much bigger than we anticipated… really clean with breathtaking views over the garden and out into the bay. The cafe was delicious, lots of options which was great! Pool was brilliant and we also had time to go out on a boat journey which was amazing! Staff couldn’t help enough and very friendly. Our favourite thing about the stay was how peaceful it was and even managed to watch the sunrise in the morning.

this is perfect for people wanting to get away from it all. Jhon and his wife are a young couple building their first accommodation on family land and they have done a great job of the building. They are friendly and caring hosts and act quickly if anything needs sorting. Desert Point, thr famous surf break is just over thr hill and amazing to watch when the swell comes up and I connected with dive companies for both Gili Asahan and Blongas. There’s an interesting fishing village with warungs within walking distance. The road is rocky coming in and depending on your mindset, can be quite fun, You are away from it all here.

After a stressful road trip through Java I was seeking a quiet place to relax and regenerate. The Blue Mathis was the perfect choice - located on a small island, the resort featured comfortable villas with scenic views, delicious food, relaxing boat trips to the Gilis in the vicinity and an overall welcoming and polite crew. The views from the bungalow are incredible and so peaceful. The beach is crystal clear and full of fish; I could spend hours diving. There is a small town a 5-10 minute walk away where everyone is super friendly, and the food is incredible. Also, the food at Alam Karang is excellent.

The food was great! The staff was awesome, the beach was great. My family enjoyed hunting for seashells. The locals are super friendly and even met other friendly tourists. Have to say we love the atmosphere of the island and hotel. Also have to mention we enjoyed the AC in the room!

I had the pleasure of staying at Pelangi Homestay with a friend and we were blown away by the experience. The owners are incredibly welcoming and lovely, and Zuria, in particular, is an absolute delight. She is sweet, friendly, and cooks the most delicious food! We were lucky enough to go on two snorkeling trips during our stay, one of which was with Zuria's dad who is just as kind as his daughter. We also had the opportunity to explore the islands of Gili Nanggu and Kedis with Anton, a very nice man who showed us around and engaged us in interesting conversations. The homestay itself is impeccably clean and the atmosphere is fantastic. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the islands. We cannot recommend Pelangi Homestay enough! Thank you 💛
