Great location in the jungle next to the sea. Very well designed resort. Balinese style. Amazing, super helpful and friendly staff. Delicious food. We are vegetarians and we were very well looked after. Corwyn and his team went out of their way to help with any and all requests that we had. We stayed in a lovely water villa with sunrise views over the water and mangroves. Fantastic house reef with a black tip reef shark, octopus, cuttle fish as well as lots of other reef fish and coral. We would highly recommend this as a diving base with comfortable and welcoming facilities. Thank you very much we will be back!

Friwen Mangrove was absolutely the best place we stayed in Raja Ampat! It is a pretty new place. The owner, Rachid, did an amazing job. The water bungalows are very luxurious and comfortable with an amazing view. He has Starlink, so good wifi 7/24. Thanks to solar panels he put, we had electric 7/24 as well. Famous Friwen Wall is just across the bungalows which is a super plus. The surrounding reefs are also beautiful. Rachid organizes very nice excursions as well to many places. And the food - literally the best food we had in RA. Lots of varities for lunch and dinner, plus the nice & fun conversations. We had the best time thanks to his warm hospitality. Must stay place.

The homestay is idyllic and secluded. We were right on the water, the porch is nicely decorated, there's a table and chairs so in the evenings we could easily play cards. In the day, if we weren't diving with Corepen (they come and collect you and drop you off), we would snorkel on the coral reef in front of the homestay which is fantastic! We saw a turtle, ray, squid, clown fish, a shark etc. All three meals are included and Lina's cooking is amazing. We would eat fresh fish everyday. Portion size is very generous so you won't be going hungry. Lina and Arnes are so kind and gentle hosts we couldn't recommend this more. Their English is very limited so just make sure you download a translator app if you don't have data (there's no WiFi). The amenities are basic and you get electricity from around 6:30pm-10:30pm but for us, this only added to its charm. When we passed other homestays, we were always grateful for picking Efenli.

Very nice and helpful staff, good food. They can also help arrange trips for snorkeling or bird watching. Big rooms, air-con and fan 24/7. Many birds in the resort area also.

We spend a fantastic week at Aldejus Homestay: most of the time we were the only guests, but even if the both other huts are occupied, it's not crowded. The huts are nicely furnished, with mosquito net and one hammock on the terrace and you have your own bathroom. The food is very good, no problem for vegetarian food or a birthday cake and even cold beer is available. Electricity is switched on for the whole night, so the fan can work also the whole night. It's very quite, there is a small village on the island, but it's some 100 m away. Very nice beach, and snorkeling is fantastic, whether on the very big house reef, or even better at frewen wall, the next island. It's a bit sportive to go there, but it's worth to do it. We saw turtles, bat fishes, small sharks and twice wales ( from the beach). Diving is possible via Tarzan Diving. Communication with Alex via what app very easy. The location is amazing, with a private beach with white sand. They have a jetty from where one can see some mind blowing sunsets and some crazy sun rises. The staff is amazing, the most beautiful people I have ever encountered in my life. Hope to come back there soon.
