Very friendly and flexible staff. They were flexible with early check in. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and sun beds. They provide towels for the pool. The buffet breakfast was basic but good. The organized snorkeling tour was great.

Such a pretty place. The location was the best since I slept in and I had to run to the harbour. Because of my sleepiness I couldn't try the breakfast, but the menu looked very yummy. Room is nice, spacious, good air-conditioning, bathroom is pretty and clean. There was outdoor shower as well, just for the room, which is super cool.

We had to book one night in Padang Bai, because our travel plans changed, and a friend recommended Puri Rai to us. We couldn't have decided better! We got a big room directly at the swimming pool, with very comfortable beds and a large bathroom. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was delicious. The location of the hotel is directly at the harbour, and so it's easy to hop on\off a boat to the Gilis, Lombok and other islands. PS: We visited the nearby Blue Lagoon beach, it's nice but the waves were a bit rowdy, and so we decided to get back to the hotel and chill out at the pool. PS2: if you'd like to eat some delicious local meals (large portions for small prices), make sure to visit the Martini's warung at the nearby municipal parking lot.

We enjoyed such a wonderful stay at Bloo Lagoon. Far exceeding our expectations. The published photos don’t do it justice. We are a little reluctant to share this review as we would love to keep Bloo Lagoon Eco Resort a secret!! We loved the staff and our stunning villa. Both equally! 5* We especially appreciated the little touches with complimentary daily yoga, free shuttle service by what’s app, inclusive varied buffet breakfast and the lovely special Spa. The Spa staff would welcome and end sessions by offering complimentary wellness tea. Didn’t know we needed it until we drank them! My adult daughter and I loved the care & thoughtfulness taken throughout the site. Little touches such as the stone cave, beautifully lit at night, off the swimming pool. The Organic chia seeds for breakfast, plus so many varied cut fruits, daily fresh scrambled eggs and home made bakery. The gardens of home grown salad, veg & herbs in the eco village manicured grounds and Nature Walk The thought provoking ‘secret’ derelict house!

Padang bai is a transit town for the ferries.

Padang bai is a transit town for the ferries. There are plenty of eateries around. The beach is unfortunately littered with rubbish and stray dogs roam around. It’s not somewhere to stay for long. There is a dive centre so it might be good for that, but for me as a general tourist I wouldn’t take a holiday here. I just stayed for the fast boats.

Padangbai took me back in time to the Bali of old.

Padangbai took me back in time to the Bali of old. Its quite rustic and primitive looking in parts. Most of the restaurants are quite old. We only ate at our hotel OK Divers Resort, where the restaurant and food was very good. NIce place to visit but only a couple of days at most.

Contrary to some reviews of Padangbai being a dodgy back...

Contrary to some reviews of Padangbai being a dodgy back water town, we found it to be a hidden gem. Lovely beaches and good places to swim and snorkel. Much smaller than I anticipated and far less humbug and mass tourism than other parts of Bali. Would definitely recommend staying here a couple of days, especially if catching an onward boat to other islands in Indonesia.

There is a photo of Padang Bai in the right upper corner of this page. I wonder where it was taken because Padang Bai does not look anything like that! Padang Bai is a bussy port and the beach is not suitable for swimming! This is not a place to spend holidays.

Amazing location close to the harbour to take the boat to...

Amazing location close to the harbour to take the boat to Gili islands. We checked in almost 3am in the morning because our flight got delayed and they were very comprehensive about it, Excelent breakfast, the owner is so helpful and kind. amazing rooms for only one or 2 nights. I strong recommend this place.

We thought we might need a night to stop over before getting...

We thought we might need a night to stop over before getting the boat onto the Gili islands but in hindsight we could have done it all in the same day. There is not much happening here so I do not recommend staying long, there are some nice cafes to chill at if you are here. There appears to be some diving schools if that is what you are looking for. Recommend Omang Omang restaurant and bar for nightlife, good food options and bands playing.

The location was superb, as were the hosts. I was greeted by Marcel and his wife with authentic warmth- the type of welcome you rarely get these days, and that you cannot forget! I appreciated Marcel sharing his wisdom and knowledge of the balinese culture over dinner, helping with my gili tickets and plans, and overall the little oasis they both created, with a view of padang Bai to die for. My room was clean and comfortable, the outdoor shower was a plus and made for a super authentic stay. Would highly recommend.

Zen Inn in Padangbai is a very nice small hotel. We stayed there overnight to catch our ferry to the Gillis. The owners are super nice and extremely helpful. We had some problems and they helped a lot to sort several things out. Though they are sometimes in the evening only 1-2 people they manage to serve the guests very well, which is absolutely amazing. Our highest recommendation.

The location was perfect for the ferry access :) The family who owned the hotel were all absolutely lovely :) The view from the top room was spectacular and the bed was super comfortable :) The son came to collect us from the airport, what a lovely young man a very nice welcome to Bali :) My daughter thought the banana pancakes for breakfast where delicious :)

Bali 85 Beach Inn was in a lovely secluded location (under 10min drive to Padang Bai port) and the staff were welcoming, polite and friendly. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. It was a great place to spend the night before taking the fast boat to Gili Air from Padang Bai port.
