After a stressful road trip through Java I was seeking a quiet place to relax and regenerate. The Blue Mathis was the perfect choice - located on a small island, the resort featured comfortable villas with scenic views, delicious food, relaxing boat trips to the Gilis in the vicinity and an overall welcoming and polite crew. For us this was the perfect place. We arrived at Lombok airport late one afternoon, and the car and boat transfers booked through the accommodation were efficient and nice. We arrived late, when the restaurant was about to close, but were offered both food and drinks. The bungalow is right on the beach. It has a simple standard but is clean and airy. The breakfast was delicious, homemade bread and homemade towels as well as a number of other choices. Lunch and dinner also tasted very good. The snorkeling from the beach was absolutely great. At a distance of less than 200m we saw blue coral, anemone fish, lionfish and turtle. Not to mention the snorkeling trip with Marie. Absolutely fantastic. She was warm and sociable and did everything to ensure that everyone had a good experience. It was inspiring to see the joy she had and the effort she put into meeting all visitors. We hope that we will have the opportunity to come back on a later occasion (stayed in room 5, 3 nights July 2025)

Beautiful little cottages which have aircon. They serve food on premises and can arrange your day trips, motorbike hire. They got us a boat day trip for just 2 of us and we went to snorkel on different islands. The hospitality was amazing, staff are very friendly

I had the pleasure of staying at Pelangi Homestay with a friend and we were blown away by the experience. The owners are incredibly welcoming and lovely, and Zuria, in particular, is an absolute delight. She is sweet, friendly, and cooks the most delicious food! We were lucky enough to go on two snorkeling trips during our stay, one of which was with Zuria's dad who is just as kind as his daughter. We also had the opportunity to explore the islands of Gili Nanggu and Kedis with Anton, a very nice man who showed us around and engaged us in interesting conversations. The homestay itself is impeccably clean and the atmosphere is fantastic. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the islands. We cannot recommend Pelangi Homestay enough! Thank you 💛
