We just spent 5 days at this superb little resort, located in a still fairly undiscovered and quiet part of Bali. We had opted for a Seaview Cottage, which is close to the lower pool and beach. Our cottage was very comfortable and spacious, the AC super quiet and efficient. The gardens are lush, well maintained and designed to give every room/cottage some privacy. The restaurant’s menu is varied and all the dishes we had were freshly prepared and very tasty. We loved the brown home made bread! The staff is very friendly and efficient and we felt very spoiled by them during our stay. Puri Dajuma is a perfect little hideaway and we loved every moment of our stay. Medewi’s famous Surf Beach is a short drive from the hotel and the hotel provides a shuttle service free of charge.

WE LOVE KELAPA! We love that it is far away from the big tourist places, we love the peaceful, quite and traditional atmosphere here and we especially love the ever smiling staff, that makes everything possible! The hotel tries to be as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible and they support the local community. The food from breakfast to dinner is exceptional! Yummy, so nicely presented and healthy. They even started to plant their own fruits and veggies in a garden next to the resort which they use in their kitchen. We came here for the second time. This time as a family and our girls also loved it here so much, that we even stayed longer than initially planned. Now they also offer daily free activities, like cooking classes, walks into the village, … If you want to enjoy nature in a luxurious and relaxing resort, that’s the place for you to go! Oh, have I mentioned that never ending beach? This is a magical place and we’re already looking forward to coming back. We already highly recommended it to family and friends.

We had a fantastic 7-night stay at Pondok Kakiang. The accommodation is new, very well maintained, and exceptionally clean. You can really feel the love and care that has gone into every detail – the garden, for example, is beautifully designed and adds so much charm. It’s just a 6-minute scooter ride to the surf beach, which makes it a perfect location for surfers as well. One of the absolute highlights was the host Kadek, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and always available if we needed anything. He even organized a scooter for us – and the next morning it was already waiting at our door! Breakfast was freshly prepared every day, super tasty, and completely flexible in terms of time – we could simply let them know when we wanted it. The attached restaurant was also a great surprise: delicious food (including plenty of vegetarian options) at fair prices, and a warm, attentive team that made us feel truly welcome. They even showed us how to make there Nasi Goreng and Mie Goreng. If we ever come back to Bali, we’ll definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

This part of Bali is reminiscent of the Bali that existed...

This part of Bali is reminiscent of the Bali that existed around Kuta 42 years ago. Rice paddies, beach, mountains…back to nature. It’s a peaceful part of Bali and we hope it stays that way as long as possible. We only stayed one night but would love to come back with family. Some of the sights around Bali are easier to access from here. Definitely recommend Puri Dajuma Eco Resort to explore this part of Bali and some of the rest of it.

Chilled mostly, bunches of Canggu ? surfer kooks in the morning in surf. Locals/expats are great, great little community you can wrap your head around as a Lombok expat. Less choices is sometimes better, easy to get info and shared knowledge. Gilmanuk road is not for the beginners...nor is the big surf.

If you are wanting excitement, nightlife and a lot of shops...

If you are wanting excitement, nightlife and a lot of shops and bars then this is not the place for you. It does give you access to north Bali - but there is still a lot of travelling involved - however if someone who knows the roads is driving then it is enjoyable and gives you the opportunity to take more notice of the scenery. We loved staying in the Kelapa Retreat and Spa and we used the restaurant there for the whole of our stay. The beach is lovely. It is long and suitable for surfing and swimming and walking along

If you're looking to get away from the crowds, look no...

If you're looking to get away from the crowds, look no further. We walked for an hour along the beach and met just a handful of people. Get here before they finish the motorway as I'm sure it won't be the same! The sea is a little bit rough, but the beach is amazing for walking.

The beaches here are relatively remote and crowd free. The surf can be challenging for general swimming, as can the rocks but it has a lovely vibe and the locals gather to socialise on the beach too, which adds to its interest as a place to visit. Authentic Bali! Pulukan Town is quote ordinary but nearby Medewi has a small strip of surf shops and good restaurants.

Kelapa Hotel is a wonderfull resort on Indian Ocean beach, with such a great exotic garden, many frangipani trees, palms, beautiful plants. The staff is absoluty great, very warm and kind. Food at the restaurant is local and international, great taste. The SPA are provide many types of massage, please try Samudra massaje and hot stone masage. I' like to come back come day there, totally recommand Kelapa Resort and Spa.

It is the most beautiful hotel/ resort we have ever stayed at in Bali. Set on beautiful quiet beach its incredible swimming pools add to this. The 'lazy river' pool putside our villa was especially lovely. Our one bedroom villa was well furnished, staff were great(especially Edi and his cocktails), food good.

Great wifi- very fast and always working. The staff and manager went above and beyond- took me to hospital, waited and mediated with doctor. The hotel is absolutely the best- I upgraded to upstairs - money well spent and an experience of a lifetime.
