Stayed one night on transit and liked the place so much I went back on my return journey. Rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable and facilities were good and worked with no issues. Staff were very friendly, and location is exceptionally good, particularly if traveling via train from Tawang. Breakfast was possibly the best hotel breakfast I've ever seen, with two a la carte options and a side buffet.

Semarang offers so much more than initially taught, off the touristy itenary, with exquisite architecture, delicious local food and fascinating history. The city is home to an array of cultural festivals, local entertainment, a testament of Javanese theatrical and cultural traditions. The little Netherlands in the old city offers stunning architecture of the 17th century, when Indonesia was a Dutch colony, where most buildings colonial in style, includes medieval, baroque and modern eras styles. Showing flourishing signs of rejuvenation, this city has one of the best preserved and restored historic centres in Indonesia, with charming streets, colourful neighborhoods, secret alleyways, flower markets, lush gardens and parks, perfect climate and gracious people. With its harmonious blend of multi- culturalism, multi- faiths and multi- backgrounds, the melting pot of Semarang is a true microcosm of Indonesia as a whole, from ancient temples, to ancient churches, monumental museums, all the way to modern-day Middle Eastern-Javanese mosques, showing that the assortment of religious places, are as striking as they are different, and the fact that they all exist in the same city is a true testament to the acceptance, harmony and appreciation for diversity of Semarang. I love the design of the room which is spacious, the location is also strategically close by DP Mall and Lawang Sewu. Breakfast also provided variable type of supple foods from rice to soto, cereals and deserts. I enjoy the night performance of live music in the lounge after a dayful of touring the city. Overall it's the best experience I had in staying at hotel.

Everything is perfect but only one thing that I have really uncomfortable. That is internet connection !!!!! I can not fully watch YouTube or Netflix bt my laptop. Wifi signal continously has drorpped so it is very difficult to watch any streaming. Even I have to access to my company web for working. Something is happened. I can not work because very low level of internet connection and internet speed. I didn't have any internet issue when I was in Jakarta and Borgor during similar times (I was in jakarta and borgor one week ago) If you have to do something with internet, I can not recommend this hotel. It is very very terribles

My last visit, and stay overnight was about 20 years ago.

My last visit, and stay overnight was about 20 years ago. When I stayed 1 night on 3rd Sept 2024. I see much development, tidier and cleaner. Thanks to the local people and the government. However there are a lot of home works to get Semarang rated equivalent with Singapore for instance. I am expecting cleaner tidier safer city and prosperous citizen.

I love the local foods . People are nice and polite Staying at Ibis Style Simpang Lima , is a good decision. Close to every where, the front desk her name is Noni she is not just friendly but she a big help . She recommends us where to go to get good tasty local foods.

Probably the best hotel in Semarang - excellent location, central to all the action; and simply the best view in the city. Infinity Roof Swimming pool was the highlight of our trip. We swam, ran on the treadmill while looking at the city chilled, and later took in the view with a beer or several.
