This is a ocean front property with sunset views! The best is large and comfy. The family are absolutely lovely and will do anything to help you! The food is delicious and so fresh. We did a snorkelling trip with the family to an incredible reef and sand bar. Highly recommend!

We had amazing stay, staying in water bungalow with hammock with natural swimming pool which ocean view is just another postcard from last paradise. 2 Toilettes are always cleaned and separated from the room which we preferred. Snorkelling point just by the jetty with loads of tropical colourful fishes, food is simple but delicious and generous with also varied and adapting to western tastes. Nearby there are 2 diveshops Just 1h boat ride from Wasai, Pak Yulianus picked us up from the port and offered excursion to Piaynemo, Manta View, Teluk Bintang, Rufas and Arborek with very reasonable price During low tide you can walk to nearby village Yenbuba and return got picked up by boat We were really looked after and handled with care.Very elegant people the whole family.we were extremely grateful by their kindness and mostly hospitality They are all playing the game went above and beyond to make our stay memorable Terima kasih Firdas Homestay and God Bless You

Binmeos (the owner) was very responsive from the start (very rare in this region as i later realised!) to help arrange transfers, trips and throughout the trip with suggestions and recommendations. His English is actually really good as well which was super helpful. The location is great, beach is right in front with a gorgeous house reef and a jetty 3 mins walk away for an easier entry in low tide. The room was large and comfortable, clean, and having a private bathroom was quite the treat (and very rare ok Kri). Last but not least I must say at Binmeos I had THE BEST food I had in all of my trip to Raja Ampat (stayed at 6 homestays). Binmeos' wife is an incredible chef, and there was always plenty of food! Thank you so much!!

It was a long boat ride from Sorong.

It was a long boat ride from Sorong. About half way there it got very rough and the speed boat didn't reduce the speed, creating very uncomfortable and violent slams as the boat dropped 3 to 4 feet and hit the water hard. I don't recommend this trip for anyone with a bad back.

Was interesting to explore the island. if you stay here there is an ATM in raja ampat city not far from the accommodation at an indomart. The roads are not too busy. We used a scooter. There are cars available to go to blue river or other places.

One the most enchanting place on earth.

One the most enchanting place on earth. I have travelled to many places (Carribbean, Hawaii, Fiji, Bali, Philippines, South America...) Raja Ampat ranks among the firsts: snorkeling in spectacular clear waters, diving in ocean paradise full of diversity. I like the people too, they are helpful and calm. Though life isn't easy for anybody... Getting around is mainly by taxis (cars, motorbike, taxi boat...), isn't difficult to find but can be very costly. Be sure to have a local SIM by registering your phone with a provider as internet isn't widely available. I was recommended Telkomsel and it worked pretty ok just a bit slower than in Europe, got network problem on one afternoon. This along with power banks and eventually a flashlight. Night time isn't powered with lamps, some places do with solar panels but may not be sufficient in term of lighting. Waterproof bags are a must to protect your items during your trips, + sunscreen clothing/accessories. I am not mentioning lotions as they can be a source of pollution to water and marine life. Mosquitoes are plenty everywhere, and very hungry...

Waisai is very remote, but at least it offers the possibility of renting a scooter and exploring the town and its surroundings. The roads are practically empty, there are a few potholes, and the locals are very helpful. When it rains, it rains heavily. There were hardly any waves on the sea. Homestays are only suitable for young, undemanding divers.

Don't visit the town of Waisai; getting around the island isn't easy. I went with my sister on a diving trip, and the best part was that the dive agency picked us up at the dock near the lodge. It's definitely a diving destination, I'd say.

This accommodation isn't in Waisai, but in Mansuar.

This accommodation isn't in Waisai, but in Mansuar. Mansuar may be politically part of Waisai, but it's misleading to list it as being in Waisai. I know this comment doesn't belong here, but there's no other category where I could post it.
