The location is superb, you have an entire island to yourself. The beach and the water are gorgeous. Also the price- quality is super good for the area, very affordable, the resort is in between homestays and ultra expensive resorts. Also, kayaks and SUP are included, as well as coffee/ tea/water. And for the food you can ask double portion free of charge.

We had a wonderful stay with Mr. Jems, Mrs. Donna and their family. The houses are set right on a stunning, quiet white-sand beach, close to a charming village with happy children and friendly people all around. The hosts are incredibly welcoming, serving excellent home-cooked Indonesian meals, even fresh-caught fish grilled over a BBQ for lunch, and delicious cakes at coffee time. The coral reef just in front of the houses is vibrant and full of marine life, and the beach is always kept spotless. The entire family helps run the homestay, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Guests can enjoy captivating live music played on handmade instruments and take part in thoughtfully organized day trips for birdwatching, waterfall hikes, and more—all with pristine rainforest just steps from their doorstep.

Beautiful homestay with only two little houses by the sea on the beach. It was truly paradise!! Very friendly family and excellent food. Nice house reef. Well arranged excursions to see dugong and casuary.

The staff and overall service are exceptional! This is a wonderful place for both divers and non-divers as they have an in-house dive team as well as snorkeling and other excursions. Everything about this place is exceptional!

We totally loved our stay at Tabari. The location is extraordinary on a remote island, and the attention to detail is clear as soon as you arrive on the jetty. Brigitte and Jeff are the most fantastic hosts, making sure all the guests feel at home. Their team is really lovely, attentive and have good positive energy. The bungalows are really well maintained, and so are all the facilities. The food is fantastic, there are delicious French crêpes or omelettes in the morning, fresh fruits on the table at all times, local fresh fish every day, freshly home baked cakes for dessert… Brigitte is always here to ask everyone if they need anything and it has been a joy and a privilege getting to know them as well as all the other guests. I had a severe ear infection and Brigitte went the extra mile organising my medication to be picked and delivered from Sorong when it wasn’t available anywhere else around Waisai. The excursions are also really well organised. We spend months doing research looking for this kind of owner-run place, and we were so happy to discover this gem :) we feel so lucky that we were able to stay here given this place is usually fully booked well in advance. Thank you Brigitte and Jeff and all the team at Tabari!
