The property is in an ideal location in Ardara, just off the Main Street so everything is close by. The property is also well equipped with all essentials such as tea, coffee sugar etc which was a really nice touch. The apartment is beautifully decorated and would recommend. Location was amazing, 10 minute walk to town through a lively country road, the grounds were perfect with a view of the mountains. We booked the double twin rooms two huge double beds and a balcony on to beautiful garden surrounded by a woodland walk. Staff were very friendly, great vibes, everything and everyone was super relaxed, they absolutely nailed it!!! Hotels like this are few and far between, irish hospitality exemplified, never change!! Lastly the breakfast, finally a breakfast cooked to order with soft eggs, 10/10...definitely coming back and bringing more people next time. Not to be missed

We heard Ardara was a good base to travel around Donegal.

We heard Ardara was a good base to travel around Donegal. Our first night we went to the local pub and ended up staying longer than planned. Live music and got chatting to some lovely local people. It’s a fairly small town. We self-catered so can’t comment on places to eat.

A lovely and lively small town, with friendly people and plenty of festivals happening, as well as fantastic walks and hikes in the lowlands and foothills around, or the Blue stack mountains a short drive away. Recommend the Corner House or the Beehive Bar for live music, and recommend the cafe in the Heritage Centre for brunch, lunch and snacks.

Not a lot for children if the weather isnt great, however local beaches are stunning and if you get the weather its one of the most beautiful costal areas I have ever seen. Difficult to eat out, not a lot around but I recommend Nancy's, lovely seafood and the cutest little dining areas to eat in and they cater wonderfully to bigger parties

The Assaranca waterfall is worth a visit and we regret not travelling to the Maghera Beach. In general there is some beautiful scenery around Ardara. The Corby Pantry beside the Atlantic Lodge had excellent food.

Lovely town with good selection of tweed and local craft shops.I came to see the tweed centre and the tweed looms.Very walkable town and lovely food available.I used the local bus to get to Donegal town which was easy.I ate at Nancys a local pub in Ardara and had a wonderful meal the chocolate and Guinness cake was amazing! I came by bus from Letterkenny on a Sunday which is not a day I would travel by bus again as some buses do not go on a Sunday.Otherwise it was very easy and cheap to go around by bus and got to see great scenery and chat to local people all who were very helpful.

Stunning town with lots to do and see. We were very lucky with exceptional weather when we visiting but its such a beautiful place its worth the visit regardless. The only downside was the only supermarket in town was very expensive.

Everything! The Bayview is spotless, homely and you will receive a welcome like no other. The beds were sooo comfortable and everything in the room from bedding to towels are quality. The breakfast was generous and delicious. Sinead was simply the best hostess. She offered us a lift into town (although you absolutely can walk) and gave us lots of fab suggestions of where to go the next day. She couldn't do enough for us. And the views from the B&B are stunning. We would highly recommend the Bayview for a stay in Ardara. Top marks!

Excellent location on the edge of Ardara with first class facilities, spotlessly clean, bright and airy rooms, a lovely big sitting room with comfortable chairs for relaxing in, super breakfast cooked to order, lovely staff and Auntie B is an amazing and interesting person. very welcoming and friendly. Good, free WiFi everywhere, and plenty of room for parking. Overall a great experience and we will certainly be back soon.

Property was very clean, and kitchen/dining area had plenty of food and drink choices. Location couldn’t be better, literally in the town centre. Entire booking process was very simple and easy, and it was handled very professionally by the host. (Hotel doesn’t have staff, you get a key to unlock main entrance door and your room door, you get all the details from host after you make your reservation)

A beautiful farmhouse stay in a lovely setting with a comfortable bed and ensuite bathroom close to Ardara. The hosts were friendly and the continental breakfast was convenient for us. We had two vegans in our party and the hosts provided vegan milk and options for breakfast also. I would highly recommend a stay at kilcashel house to experience rural ireland.
