We choose Ballyheigue for relaxation.

We choose Ballyheigue for relaxation. At this time of the year alot of the businesses have closed down after the summer season . Unfortunately on our first night there was a storm. But even that couldn't take away from the beauty of the beach and the friendliness of the locals. We had breakfast in the hotel which was really really good and dinner in Kate Browne's in Ardfert which was equally good.

Ballyheigue suited our needs we were there for 3 nights.

Ballyheigue suited our needs we were there for 3 nights. We had drinks in O'Regans bar which we enjoyed. We ate in the hotel one night and it was fine and the wine was good. We enjoyed being close to the beach. We experienced Pattern Day which was a great social gathering and the bar in the hotel was very lively on the Night. I would recommend Ballyheigue there's a lot to see around it.

Perfect seaside village!

Perfect seaside village! The summer festival was great, locals were friendly and welcoming. Had the local hurling club’s match on the TV in the pub and the whole community came to watch. Felt like I could have stayed forever!

This is a very small town without any restaurants.

This is a very small town without any restaurants. You may find three to four cafe shops but no Restaurants for Lunch/Dinner or breakfast. You can grab a Breakfast roll from Centra in town walking distance from Beach.

My accommodation was superb. Beautiful beach.

My accommodation was superb. Beautiful beach. I didn't have to move my car, I appreciated the rest to walk and swim. I would have liked to stay longer and do more. IT is also in a good location from which to visit other towns in Kerry or places of interest. Listowel and Tralee are not far away.

Great location close to the beach. Deceptively large hotel, bedrooms are a decent size and the facilities and bars are spacious and quite quirky. Not ultra modern but it has a lovely old school charm and very much in keeping with the area. Staff were very helpful throughout the hotel, they even found cover for our motorbikes to shelter them from the gales😊 We had food in the bar, good hearty grub with generous Irish portions.

My hubby took ill suddenly and was hospitalised and I transferred to white sands to be closer to the hosipital. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in an rural area - very scenic and conducive to a relaxing break. Restaurant/ bar all located within the premises and live music often available. Residents lounge lovely and very comfortable with gas fire burning.

This homely guest house is in a great location and on the Wild Atlantic Way. It overlooks a sandy beach and is within easy walking distance of a pub / hotel that served great food. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with excellent knowledge of where to go/ what to see, that extended far beyond the local area.

Beautiful beach behind hotel. Check-in lady was really lovely and friendly. The room had a lovely view and wasn't to warm, older decor but clean.
