Lovely stay at the Gougane Barra Hotel. We were celebrating our MiniMoon and the staff left a hand written note and some fudge in our room which was a nice touch. Gorgeous view from the room of the lake. Staff were extremely friendly. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were gorgeous. Will certainly be back to do some hiking in the area and will definitely stay here again!

A perfect location with a stunning lakeside view towards St Finbar's Oratory, with walks from the door, perfect spot to enjoy the forest park. Fantastic breakfast. Cosy bar. Interesting decor and paintings throughout the hotel. Good sized room with chairs and coffee table. Next door there is a good cafe, bar and gift shop.

The setting of this hotel is idyllic, right on the lake next to historic St Finbarr’s oratory on a little promontory. Surrounded by forests and mountains. The owners and staff are warm and friendly and the food is outstanding! Would love to return.

This has got to be my favourite hotel of all time . The room was very clean and tidy with a stunning view over the lake . The food was absolutely exceptional and Neil and Katy are tremendous hosts .
