Dublin is a wonderful city. We enjoyed our tour guide of Trinity College and Library and the Book of Kells, it was awesome! Also the tour of the Jennie Johnson ship parked outside and the Irish Immigrant museum were excellent! We enjoyed a local pub Divette's and felt welcomed! Great music our last night! Dublin is over-touristed.
Dublin is over-touristed. It's a decent place, but it feels like it was a bit run down, and then newly reinvigorated. But there are not really strong tourist draws other than the pubs which are crazy crowded and gimmicky. I saw a dozen tourist swag shops too. Guiness tour was ok but expensive and a long walk. Dublin was the worst of my travel experiences. The accommodations were terrible, and the basic amenities were so poor, beyond the price, that I was shocked. I had to cancel my contract with great difficulty and spent several days in several hotels.
