What guests said about Howth:

Howth was a find for us.

Howth was a find for us. We go to Ireland a lot and usually stay a night or two in Malahide near the airport. This year we decided to try somewhere new and arrived at Howth. This is a destination all by itself. A bustling sea port and the gateway to Ireland's Eye and the coast. The town itself is busy and filled with art and other interesting locations. Howth is famous for its smoked salmon and is filled with interesting restaurants. It is also only a forty minute DART ride into Dublin and twenty minutes to the airport.

We come from Minnesota, USA to Howth almost yearly to attend a Phil Lynott Birthday celebration at the Bloody Stream. This small town feels like home to me. The people, market and food make Howth a place to put on your bucket list.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is great.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is great. Everything within 10 mins walk and the bus stop right out the front, that takes you into Dublin cbd. The apartment was fully equipped with quality fittings, equipment, bedding and bath towels. It was roomy, warm and comfortable. The apartment was over a cafe restaurant that served delicious breakfast, brunch, lunch & dinner, not to mention excellent coffee. The host was very friendly and helpful, but so was every single cafe staff member. Carl had a lovely helpful team downstairs.

I loved this little coastal town!

I loved this little coastal town! Walk out to the lighthouse and walk the cliff walk. Have tea at the Dog House! Check out Abby Tavern...I ate there twice and stayed late for the local Irish music. It's a walkable town with shops and restaurants. But also nice to just sit and take it all in!

Howth is the place to stay when visiting Dublin.

Howth is the place to stay when visiting Dublin. Just 30 minutes by train away from he city centre, it is a small but beautiful town on a penninsula surrounded with cliffs and seagull collonies. Many great pubs and restuarants, fantastic views and, contrary to Dublin - the calm and peaceful atmosphere where you can really relax.

I did not know what to expect as we booked last minute to go to a concert in Malahide. Howth is a beautiful seaside town with lots on offer (restaurants, bars, cafes etc...) We hope to return in the near future to spend more time there. Great for couples & families. A bit hilly in places so you need to have good mobility if you want to explore or stay slightly out of town. I visited a beautiful cove in the morning time where there were lots of swimmers in the sea & it was so peaceful...great way to start the day.

The Breakfast was faultless so tasty with lovely local produce and plenty of choice. The ambience of eating in bar/restaurant was calming with lovely relaxing music. Been before and it didn't dissapoint in any way. Had a sea view room and loved watching the crashing waves at high tide. Howth is a lovely seaside place with an abundance of seafood restaurants . Easy to reach from Dublin. There is also an amazing Cliff walk with spectacular views.

What a diamond find in Howth. I highly recommend this place with all facilities we wanted, comfortable and convenient. We could walk our dog around the marina and the site was on the Howth Coastal walk. The restaurant was fabulous, a tad expensive but you pay for great food and it was a great Seafood place. Highly recommended.
