Everything! Really beautiful site in a quiet little village. Our hut was right next to the stream so we fell asleep to the sound of the water each night. The hut was lovely and warm and plenty of hot water on demand. Bed was so comfy and all the little furnishings in it just made it feel so homely.the village has a cute little cafe that you can paint mugs and other little ornaments in and has some lovely jewelry to buy in it as well. The small village is great for bird watching too as you're right on the Shannon estuary. We liked it so much we booked an extra night while there as we didn't want to leave! Will definitely stay here again when we have the chance ☺️

A very warm welcome from the host’s sister who offered me a sandwich after a long journey. The house was superbly located with off road parking, a great view, the room was very quiet and comfortable with a lovely hot shower. Everything was very clean. Delicious self serve breakfast with a choice of things to eat. The host’s sister lives nearby so as a solo female traveller it was nice to know someone was on hand if needed. Also very relaxed around check out time. Really enjoyed my brief stay and it was a short onward trip to the Tarbert ferry

Didn’t get to stay. Despite pet friendly listing, on arrival, after 3 extra hours travel, was told that was not case (despite booking.com listing as such). Owner rang after we had left to offer accom with a friend of hers. Repeated to me in message following day that it was not listed as pet friendly. I sent a screenshot contradicting that statement.

Everything. Rajiv and his staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. I loved my 2 nights there and the food is excellent. All in all a fantastic stay. These people are absolutely brilliant

The hosts were very welcoming. The place was very clean and our stay was pleasant. The location was perfect and scenery outside was also beautiful. Had a good view of the Pier from the windows. The hosts were super helpful and caring. We were able to cook our food in the garden. Loved our stay with Suzanne.

The owners were very friendly and very hospitable. It genuinely exceeded our expectations. When we are back in Ireland, we will definitely visit the Magpie bar again. A proper Irish experience for a couple of Dutch boys.

Carrig island lodge is in a stunning location with a gorgeous view of the castle, the house was absolutely immaculate and was fully equipped with anything you could of thought of like towels, shampoo etc.. as a family of 10 we all had loads of space in bedrooms and beds were so comfortable.
