Beautiful view of the ocean from our room. Very close to a lovely beach. Hostess was helpful in terms of answering of answering questions about the area. Nice spacious bedroom and bathroom. Warm and cozy feeling.

Our stay at Puffin Lodge was incredibly comfortable and proved to be excellent value for money. It was the perfect retreat to escape the winter weather. The staff in the Fleet Inn could not be more accommodating, they made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to help. The property is in the heart of the town and is within walking distance to bars and restaurants. There was a coffee machine and refreshments which were provided in the room which was great.

Great location close to the village of Kilcar. Close to the magnificent Atlantic sea and Slive Leig cliffs , You get a house in the country side , yes a whole house complete with a new kitchen. Quiet, I had the best nights sleep in months. Krista and Stephen are a lovely couple.

We might have done a better job at researching what boat or...

We might have done a better job at researching what boat or land tours would be available. We had hoped to take a boa trip under Slieve Liege cliffas and maybe a day tour to Gleneveagh National Park or Inishowen. There was a small tourist info building, but it did not open until Monday. The helpful man behind the counter seemed to indicate that once the last cruise ship visit of the season was gone, things quieted down quite a bit. It was rainy and windy most of the time. We did take a local link bus out to Glencolumbkill; weather was damp and windy, but we enjoyed the ride and had a nice lunch at a cafe, and got some business done at the post office. So the stay was a little disappointing, but, as I said, we might have done a little more research before we went. We did meet some great locals waiting for the bus, etc. and had some great chats. Our first 8 days in Ireland, travelling with family who could only stay 7 nights was a smashing success!! We have all visited Ireland several times, at least.

Great base for travelling around.

Great base for travelling around. Visited Slieve League, Assaranacha Falls, Mahera beach and caves, the Glengesh Pass, glen columcille, The Rusty Mackerel and The Boathouse in Killybegs, Donegal Town and The smugglers creek in Rossnowlagh . So we covered a lot of ground!!

Killybegs is a fishing town with a beautiful harbour with restaurants offering very tasty fresh fish dishes daily, and lovely bars if you fancy a tipple, the people are so nice and always have time for a chat. Killybegs is not to far from the historical Donegal town and the seaside resort Bundoran and lots of other beaches spread throughout the county, well worth a visit

This is a great little town and its growing.

This is a great little town and its growing. It has an amazing little sea port you can walk about and has a few great pubs with great food and of course, iced cold beers. Very convenient to everything if you are visiting this area of Ireland.

This is the friendliest place in the world.

This is the friendliest place in the world. So many amazing places to eat with views that are unforgettable. Strangely there are no bins, not even a dog waste bin. This is the only bad thing I can think of.

Killybegs is a beautiful part of the country, fantastic beaches and great for fishing. Highly recommended to anyone, if it isn’t on your bucket list then you should add it! And don’t forget the Seafood Shack, delicious, fresh seafood cooked right in front of you!

Everything. Warm welcome from owner, Tina. Nothing was too much trouble. Really made to feel comfortable and at home (except home doesn't have that view of Donegal Bay or the cove at the end of Fintragh Beach literally at the bottom of the garden!). Really peaceful location yet ideally placed for Killybegs and for easy access to the "must do's" in this part of Donegal.

Brilliant location within walking distance to Killybegs plus an excellent base to go and visit other parts of Donegal. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. A lovely touch was the welcome basket of treats! I had a small query and the owner dealt with it quickly, very approachable and helpful.

Hotel is currently being renovated. I have been coming to stay at the Tara at least twice a year for 19 years. It has been tired for a number of years now but the hotel is being transformed with the current renovation and new owners. I stayed in a renovated room and I was very impressed.

Had a lovely stay at Seawinds in Killybegs. Used it as a base to walk the Sliabh Liag cliffs and to see the south Donegal area. Very nice hosts and good breakfast. Room was very quiet so I slept great and had a lovely view of the fishing port.
