Rossnowlagh is a beautiful place!
Rossnowlagh is a beautiful place! The beach is just stunning on a sunny day! We visited easter week, but unfortunately it was very quiet as there wasnt much open! We visited Smugglers when it opened mid week and loved that we could bring our dog! The food is lovely but booking is essential! We also visited the Bakery Shack which had lovely coffee and cakes and an area to sit outside. There is a little shop - Finnegans which was handy for bread and milk and we also visited Castle Farm which the kids loved! It is very close to Ballyshannon, Bundoran and Donegal Town which also had a few dog friendly places to eat!Guest review bySarahIreland - 10.0

We have been visiting Rossnowlagh for years. It’s a fabulous location, beach is stunning, local shops have all necessary foods / groceries and several restaurants all of which are lovely. The location is outstanding, near to the beach, places to dine. We stayed for four night as we had been invited to a family gathering. The accommodation was situation, in a quiet locate, but near activities. We ate at nearby Smugglers Creek and the Gaslight. If you are driving and staying outside of Rossnowlagh then...
If you are driving and staying outside of Rossnowlagh then you obviously won’t have a drink. My advice to those that wish to go into the resort is that taxis are good BUT…BEWARE… It will be almost impossible to get a taxi on a Sunday night. We got caught out and only the kind offer of a lift by the barman in the Smugglers Creek in to drive us back to our accommodation saved the day. The Bakery Shack in Rossnowlagh do very delicious coffee and various savoury and sweet things to eat. Highly recommend the Franciscan Friary and the Catholic church nearby for a quiet place to pray.Guest review byJohnIreland

Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, a great little kitchen which had all the essentials already there; milk, coffee, OJ, some local brown bread and snacks and soft drinks. The Pod is also equipped with it's own bathroom, also immaculately clean with towels provided. There's a beautiful smell from the wood lining in the Pod which makes it feel like you're the first person to stay in it. The beach hut was clean cosy compact but with everything you could ask for. The pods are all private. The views are stunning. Siobhan and william are lovely hosts nothing is too much trouble. Complimentary breakfast and a sweet treat in the evening just add to the perfection of our stay. We are already planning a return visit. We really enjoyed our meal in the restaurant downstairs. There is a pub right beside the apartment, which had great live music.
