On our way to the hill station of Auli, we spent a night at a riverside resort in Devaprayāg, and it turned out to be one of the most unexpectedly beautiful highlights of the trip. The resort is nestled right on the banks of the river, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers — a truly sacred and awe-inspiring sight. Waking up to the sound of the river flowing and the crisp mountain air was incredibly refreshing. Though it was a short stay, the peaceful environment, natural beauty, and the unique location made it feel like a hidden gem. It was the perfect overnight stop before ascending to the heights of Auli.
