This old hunting lodge has been refurbished to a very high standard. Additional cottages have been added and if you like feeling as if you are in the National park with nature all around, this is the place to be. The bedding was all new and the bed very comfortable indeed. The bath room overlooking the jungle is an additional feature and yes there is enough hot water to fill it! The pool is beautifully kept and the sitting out areas are numerous so you never feel crowded and can move around with the sun to not as you wish! Each cottage has a private terrace so you can be separate too. The food is freshly cooked and my gluten intolerance was expertly catered for. The manager has been an experienced guide in the past so was very aware of all our needs. Taking us for a walk through the lower hills to a reservoir where we could spot many birds which is what we wanted. There are safaris to see leopards which was fun….tigers too are being reintroduced.

This Haveli is a real gem in Narlai, the Leopard Country. We had a great experience from the warm welcome to the check out. They upgraded us to a superior room with a beautiful view in the renovated wing of the haveli. The furniture is a shabby chic version of a French style that blends very well with the Haveli. The garden is manicured and the swimming pool is absolutely great. The staff provides a massage while you are waiting for your dinner or just after it making you relaxing before going to bed and sleep like a King! We had our dinner on the terrace overlooking an amazing granite hill rock. The food was not the highlight of the evening but the level of attention from the waiter was absolutely great. The same waiter was managing the bar with great experience. Rawla Narlai deserves more than 1 night as we missed the safari that we believe is a must!

Jaigarh palace hotel, being on a height, has its advantages as compared to other hotels in the area. It offers a beautiful view of the hills, other hotels, and the winding road on both sides. The hotel has 2 large terraces where you can sip tea or eat your meals while viewing the hills. The staff is very courteous and make you feel at home. The only drawback is that one has to climb steps since there is no elevator. Although we liked to climb the steps, this could be an issue for somebody with a hip-knee problem.
