The room was pleasant.nice area with Two lovely restaurants. Owners were very helpful and friendly they sold nice clothes as well. We were allowed to store our luggage there even though we checked out.. nothing was too much trouble for them.. we really enjoyed our stay..

The family owners of Prajwal Homestay were just beautiful. We felt very at home with them and they made us very welcome. Delicious home cooked dinner was made for us, as well as early morning chai. The rooms were comfortable and the large balcony provided a view of the local rural lifestyle. The man of the house, Raj, was full of laughs and provides an excellent guiding service around the historic sites of Hampi. We highly recommend staying with Prajwal’s family, the enterprising young man who runs this accommodation above the family home.

    Superb place showing the Golden era of Vijayanagar empire. So many things to see. We stayed for 2 full days and explored a lot. Could have been 2 days more. August is a right month. Not much rain and greenery all around. Temps in the range of 25 to 30 degree celcius. Advisable to engage a guide atleast for one full day for better exploration. Other days can be easily done on your own with the help of map. One can walk around or can take vehicle to main spots. Don't miss the riverside walk from Virupaksha temple to Vijay Vithal temple

    Hampi in the southern Indian state of Karnataka is a heritage site with history going far back to the prehistoric era established around 1336 AD. Once a vibrant and highly rich empire called the Vijayanagar which was ruled by four different dynasties: the Sangama Dynasty, Saluva Dynasty, Tuluva Dynasty, and Aravidu Dynasty. Now converted into ruins partly by erosion, partly by intentional destruction by an alliance of the Deccan Sultanates, including Bijapur, Ahmadnagar, Golconda, and Bidar and then by negligence or inability to preserve of Indian governments. The ruins are still very beautiful and picturesque to say the least. They provide pleasant feel to eyes and peace to mind. There are innumerable spots for professional and casual photography including selfies. There is mostly no danger or risk in visiting most spots but one should be cautious while visiting the Kotilingam spot on the other side of the Tungabhadra river. You have first to pay heavy charges for the boats (either baskets or motorboats) and when you reach the other bank, there is absolutely no real pathway to even walk. you literally have to jump from boulder to boulder to reach the final place. It is somewhat risky, especially in rainy season, when the rocks are slippery and there is nothing to hold on to. Rest of the places are good. For charges, you have to bargain for a good deal.

    Was very disappointed, having travelled more extensively in india we have seen much more impressive temple complexes such as the big temple in tamel nadu. There is too much hype about this place from TV and media that did not live up to the reality of the visit. Would not recommend to other travellers.

    The extent of stone ruins from the Vijayanagar era is unbelievable. We would recommend having a guide at the sites where available, but also allow enough time to go around quietly by yourself as there is so much to see. Don’t miss going out to take some photos just before sunset. Everywhere you look you will marvel.

    Our recent stay at Hyatt place Hampi turned out to be one of the mosglt relaxing hotel experiences. The property offers a blend of calm, comfort and convenience. The service was impeccable. Dining at the hotel was a highlight. The breakfast and dinner buffets were generous with a wide variety of Indian and Continental dishes. Special thanks to Monisha, Devesh, Garv, Swetha, Harsha and Krishna from the Gallery Cafe Team who were consistently cheerful, professional and attentive.

    The room was spacious and clean. Resort was also maintained well. Parking was available. Food options exceeded expectations. Very friendly and helpful staff. They helped with guide booking. Good wifi in the property. The location is in north Hampi which is about 30-40 mins from the popular locations in south Hampi. This resort is in a village surrounded by boulders and paddy fields. The environment is serene and ideal for relaxing.

    All Is Well is a small guesthouse perfectly located in the middle of Hampi village. The village's best restaurants are all within a 3-5 minute walk and the main Hampi temple is 10 minutes away. The rooms are basic with A/C, hot water and decent Wi-Fi. If you are a backpacker on a budget, All is Well is probably a 9/10. For travelers like me, this guesthouse was a 7.5/10.

    This is a great hotel at great location in Hospete. Very near to Hospete market which means all access to good restaurants and main market. Its 13 kms from Hampi and one can reach Hampi in just 30 minutes. Room sizes are very very good. If you can afford book an executive suit, its value for money. Staff is polite, accommodating and food is fine too.
