Truly Special Retreat Our stay at Mharo Khet was an experience we’ll never forget. From the moment we arrived, there was a sense of calm and stillness that made us feel instantly at ease — it’s the kind of place that gently slows you down and lets you reconnect with yourself. The spaces are beautifully thought through — elegant, earthy, and in perfect harmony with the farm around them. The little design touches stood out to us: handmade rugs, pottery, mother-of-pearl inlaid tables, and open decks with rocking chairs where you can sit and watch the colors of dawn and dusk unfold. Everything felt authentic and personal, never overdone, and yet so comfortable. What made it even more special were the experiences woven into daily life here — like starting the morning with a soothing champi (head massage), or trying our hand at weaving a traditional charpoy with the team. These small, thoughtful touches brought us closer to the spirit of the place. And the food… absolutely unforgettable. Each meal felt like a celebration of the farm — inventive, fresh, and full of flavor. Dining here is not just eating, it’s a journey that lingers with you. Overall our experience was great and I’m so happy we chose Mharo Khet for our getaway. I can’t wait to be back to immerse in their experiences and soak in the culture they offer.

Our stay at Surpura Bagh was truly unforgettable. The property is stunning, surrounded by peaceful gardens and full of charm – a real oasis in Rajasthan. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and give a sense of heritage and authenticity. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, always ready to help with a smile and making us feel at home from the very first moment. A special mention goes to Chef Manan Singh, who was incredibly welcoming and willing to prepare any dish we wished for – his kindness and talent made every meal a delight. He even created an exemplary dinner adapted to our Italian taste, showing great flexibility and skill. Most importantly, when one of us had stomach issues, the chef and the staff took wonderful care of us, preparing light and suitable dishes with genuine attention. The food overall was delicious, freshly prepared, and served in such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This is not just a hotel, but an experience of Rajasthan’s hospitality and culture. We left with wonderful memories and the wish to come back soon. Highly recommended!

Earlier they allotted us rooms at the back of the property which is still in setting up because of destination wedding in the hotel..after a lot of noise they gave us proper rooms.. in the morning there was no water… generally b/f is included here it’s not

"This was our very first homestay in Rajasthan, which proved to be an absolute pleasure, and the experience was beyond our expectations." This stay was really lovely, the host was really communicative and picked us up from the bus station by jeep to take us to the campsite, but even offered to drive us to and from Jodhpur. The place itself was really beautiful, well-equipped and clean. (on booking.com the bathrooms were listed as shared, but some of the huts like the one we stayed in have their own private washroom which was nice). At night the stars are clearly visible and stargazing outside was pretty spectacular and encouraged by our host as well. The highlight of the trip for us was definitely being welcomed into the home of the host and their lovely family for meals. This is obviously quite special and not something you can find just anywhere and was greatly appreciated, plus the food was delicious. The host was also really flexible and open to tailoring our trip to our preferences. He presented us with a range of options for activities like different kinds of safaris, camel rides, camping or home visits at different times. He also regularly checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. For us, we did the camel rides and one of the safari options where we watched the sunrise, both were fun, but the camel rides were definitely what we enjoyed the most. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend others to take part and stay here. Thank you again to our wonderful hosts!!

Lovely home stay with kind family. We got to ride camels and I even milked a goat! Lovely food. Was nice to experience real Rajasthan from a local perspective.

The owner is super friendly, and helpful. We were even helped with carrying baggage. Awesome breakfast. Tip for you, go in the early morning 7am to see Mandore Gardens. There are heaps of monkeys there 🐒

If you plan on visiting this property, you absolutely cannot miss the home cooked meal by the Prayag's(Host's) mom. It is the kind of food you won't find anywhere in any of the hotels or restaurants. Prayag was extremely warm and welcoming, always smiling and ready to go above and beyond to make your stay highly comfortable. Property is very well maintained and was quite clean. Also we were there at the time of monsoon and the terrace had this soothing wind and a mild rainfall which made our day.
