Beautifully restored Chettinad mansion. Rooms were very spacious with lovely period furniture. Beautiful old photographs of the owners family are displayed through the property and it adds a unique homely touch and takes us back in time. We tried the vegetarian Chettinad saapadu which was awesome. We took a nice evening walk around the village with Mr. Siva who also gave us tips for sightseeing around the region and even arranged for us to see the owners other mansion in a nearby village. The staff went out of the way to make us comfortable.

The hotel is very special, into an old and totally renovated Chettinadu palace, the atmosphere is great, it was nice to stay two nights to enjoy the place. The food is fine and the staff is very helpful. I would suggest to make the Chettinadu tour from the hotel and the palce tour, both very interesting.
