Puri is ultimate place to visit in India, apart from above all Jaggannathji other places in Puri are all good like Chilka Lake Sea beaches facilities at railway station were very good you need not to take stairs, food near station was very good

If you have a calling to visit puri Jagannath temple, you must visit this place. The temple aura is amazing. It is one of the most sacred places for Hindus and the Jagannath temple & Konark temples are nice architectural marvels too. This city has a long and cherished history. If possible, avoid summer heat and important festival days - if you just need temple darshan. Shopping and sightseeing is tough during summer heat.

Puri is totally a changed city now, much more cleaner and much more organised. We had very good darshan of Lord Jagannath. The temple premises are very attractive and tourist friendly. Puri is well connected by train and road. Our journey to Puri by road was very much enjoyable, it just took one and half hour from Cuttack. We had a grand stay at Fortune, beach side hotel and enjoyed the delicacies in the hotel.

the main reason we took this vacation was to see Jagannath Temple. That part was fulfilled. Any other sight seeing is quite far, and the auto rikshaw guys over charge excessively. The hotel is on the quieter side of the beach, and just a short ride to the left is much enjoyable. The beach itself comes to life from around 5pm till late. Lots and lots of food is cooked on the beach, to give one a feeling of enjoyment. BUT 4 nights and 5 days was over do. NO decent restaurants anywhere near.

Any one if you are exploring chilka lake near by puri then don't trust cab drivers. For 10 or more people in one boat for 3 to 4 hours of boating journey in chilka lake its only 1800 to 2500. Don't pay any extra amoutn. Apart from that visitng puri / konark / biraja devi temple and everything is good.

Puri Muncipal corporation has to maintain roads in proper roads towards Temple all around. I tried different different roads for Temple but all are same. If government make a road properly defiantly tourism would be increasing fast.
