The hosts were lovely and welcoming and full of knowledge of what's best to do and see in the surrounding area. Shared the guesthouse with another couple but was still able to feel like I had the place to myself Hosts provided a breakfast hamper which was lovely of them. No complaints at all.

A peaceful cabin in the middle of a "wood", the host decorated with detail and so passionate that I can feel it. You have everything that you need. Certainly if I comeback to Iceland I will book this cabin. Only one caveat, make sure when you come still have daylight to find the cabin.

The location is beautiful, and the house has everything you need, cozy, but spacious. The kitchen has everything you need, even extra oil, spices, pasta, coffee, in case you miss something. We have not used the gas grill outside though. And the living room has breath taking views, and on top of that, the hut-tub outside.

Cosy rooms and very friendly staff. The view from our room into the harbor is very nice. The location is very central and perfect for exploring the city. All in all, it was a very nice stay.

Newly renovated during the spring of 2023, Hotel Local 101 is an independent hotel quietly tucked away in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, on a charming street made up of classical Icelandic homes.
