The breakfast was excellent and the staff was helpful. Very nice restaurant there on premise. Room was sparse and simple but super clean and new and the bed was fabulous! Super comfy. Great location. We drove the Snaefellsjokull Park and peninsula.
We drove the Snaefellsjokull Park and peninsula. Fascinating. From the small churches. The wild ocean and black sand beaches. The bird cliffs. Waterfalls. Lava fields and the glacier from many viewpoints. We had a wonderful lunch at Gilhakki Kaffihus in Hellissander. A charming little coffee house. You can do the loop in one day. There’s so much to do and see that two days would be even better. I would find a day trip from Reykjavik too rushed.
