We went to Dalvík so we could ride horses at the Tvistur horse farm. Then we went north to the Herring Era Museum. I would highly recommend both. It was nice traveling in the north of Iceland because there were so few tourist. The snow capped mountains in the area were hugged by mist making for some very pretty photos.

A small village near the harbor — pure Icelandic magic. From here I experienced unforgettable moments: a whale-watching tour and the wonder of the Northern Lights dancing in the sky. I stayed in a shared house with people from all over the world, in a warm and genuine atmosphere. A special place where nature and simplicity create emotions that stay in your heart. 💙

Nice cosy little cottages with all you require in the center of Dalvík. Value for money. Very pleasant host(Bjarni). Gave us briefing of the area and Iceland in general. Very informative. Everything within walking distance (supermarket, coffee shop, gas station, port from were the boat goes for whale watching etc

Easy check-in, Lorenzo was helpful providing all infos in advance. The cottage was great, we enjoyed using the BBQ and relaxing on the Finnish Sauna. The property is located just outside Dalvik in a lovely nature spot and we were lucky to spot some Northern Lights at night as well!!

I stayed in the hotel for two nights which allowed me to watch a football match and visit Grímsey Island. I had a room with a private bathroom, but others may choose to share a bathroom to get a lower price room.
