The Hallormsstaður area is on a beautiful lake with the...
The Hallormsstaður area is on a beautiful lake with the largest forest in Iceland nearby. Several significant waterfalls, including the 420 ft. Hengifoss, are minutes away by car. And yet the area is just 15 minutes from Egilstaðir and all its city amenities. Really an ideal location for exploring Eastern Iceland!

Quirky boutique style hotel in a forest by a lake. Affordable happy hour in the bar & a decent breakfast. Unusually we ate dinner in the hotel. We had the buffet dinner. There was plenty of choice and the food was fresh & of a very high quality. We enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay, clean and tidy with all the facilities you need, stunning scenery off a quiet road.. you will need to bring some food with you, no shops nearby but there is a hotel/restaurant about 13km away which serves food

It is mix of camping and hotel. Camping is closed in winter so only 2 dedicated rooms are available. Very nice for staying.
