We stayed only one night but this was one of the most beautiful locations. The room was excellent and our evening meal in the restaurant was delicious and generous. A standout from our 17 days in Iceland.

Room was very spacious, all in all comfy and warm which was very much needed in the tough weather conditions we experienced in June (snow, sleet and strong winds). Staff friendly and helpful. Good choice breakfast buffet.

This was our favourite stay in our one week tour of Iceland! It was comfortable, spacious and clean. The shower was powerful and the kitchen was fully equipped. It had the most comfortable bed too. We were even able to see the northern lights. The view was spectacular.

The staff is great. Excellent service reception at and dinner. Dinner exceeded expectations by serving freshest cod and perfect foal. Facilities are basic but in good condition.

We stayed for one night, splitting the drive from Thingvelir to Myvatn Lake. - Communication with Iris was great (received all information in advance). We even met before departing from Armuli. - The location of "Armuli" is easy to find / it is well described - Car Parking in front of the house / large place with few steps to the flat / room - The flat is spacious and nicely furnished (living room with sofa / double bed) - Kitchen / dining area well furnished and equiped including fridge and with all what you need (even coffee / sugar was available for us) - Separate sleeping room with double bed and windows, nicely furnished - Bathroom was clean and nicely warm with all towels and stuff needed. - You can find 2-3 kms from there a nice museum --> Glaumbær Thank you for this accomodation.

A beautiful guest house in a beautiful location with an amiable and attentive host! What a great find! Unfortunately we could only stay 1 night on our tour around Iceland, but it was enough to appreciate how special this place is! And we saw the aurora borealis for the first time there! Be prepared for a 6km drive along a rough track and a little peaceful isolation from the rest of the world......a great plus point for us. Very useful to be able to use the kitchen to prepare a meal. Thank you Valgeir for creating this place, for the nice breakfast and for the stimulating conversation!
