The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were snowed in and had to stay an extra night. They staff were very helpful and used the tractor to help dig us out.

If your main goal to see the northern lights, this is the best place you can imagine. The sky is dark, no sources of light pollution around, mountains aside are not tall, so you see the sky from left to right without obstacles. We had chance to see beautiful northern lights, and it was awesome. Just use one of two large spaces on the road that lead to the hotel, there are the darkest spots for observing. Hotel is very clean and soundproof. Good breakfast.

The location is perfect, the rooms are very cosy, clean and spacious, dining space in the main building is very lovely, with the view over the waterfall. The. lady manager is more than friendly and obliging and breakfast is delicious.

Guesthouse Hvitafell was super clean, I loved it. The hot tub overlooking the valley was excellent and the bed was a 10. The kitchen has all you need, with tea and coffee complementary. All in all just an excellent place to stay in Laugar.
