Iceland is a very expensive place to travel and this guest house was average price for Iceland but the quality of the rooms were low average. Our room had such a bad slope on it we had to sleep at the other end of the bed with our heads above our feet. The bathroom had a toilet in the middle of the room, you had to walk around it to get to the shower and even though the room came with breakfast included it was very poor quality.Guest review byLinford - 10.0

There was a lot of noise.
There was a lot of noise. We weren't on the main building and when people walked in the hallway you got a lot of noises. Also the fan in the toilet turned on every time you turned on the lights and it stayed on for 15 minutes after.Guest review byCarlotaSpain - 10.0

We stayed in Kirkjubaerjarklaustur and made day trips to the glacier and to black beach. If you have a car, it is a great place. The scenery is beautiful and it is a good location to explore the south eastern part of the island. It is a bit of a drive for groceries and I suggest you buy them in Reykjavik or at a larger town on the way to the south.Guest review byTPRUnited States
