    Olafsvik was a beautiful little town with everything within walking distance from our accommodation. The harbour wa pretty and a nice beach, we went on the whale watching trip and saw Orcas which was amazing !!! The roads in and out of town were quite snowy so u need a 4x4 in the wintertime

    Small, quiet Icelandic town but with enough facilities to support a vacation stay. Plan to get all your supplies by 18:00 as stores close then. Location is central to all sites on the peninsula. Not many restaurants in Olafsvik and those open were closed or on limited hours in the off season (late September) but there are some in nearby towns that were open.

    Bikers paradise is far more beyond our expectations. it is close to church mountain and national park, sea views and mountain views with some waterfalls. The whole family of the host is one of the kindest people we have ever meet. They are very happy to help whenever their guests need. Apparently we were acknowledged they have helped many guests for free, such as stuck in the snow, car breakdown , late arrival without food etc.

    A lot of things to see around the peninsula - make the circular drive around the tip. Visit Laugarbrekka, Malarrif Ligjthouse, Rauðfeldsgjá Gorge, and the Gatklettur. A lot of restaurants nearby (I had some great fish n chips while there). Local folks are courteous and helpful. I hated to leave.

    The city is beautiful with all terrains around it. There is a beautiful waterfall in the city to which you can walk right up close and there are mountains around it plus beach/sea. Good restaurant in the city called Sker.

    Ólafsvík is the larger of settlements around Snaefellsjokull national park. There are plenty of things to see on this end of West Iceland, so 2-3 days is a good length of stay here. It has a bank, shop, and gas station; a fairly remarkable church, and a post office.

    Very big and nice apartment with parking space in the center of Olafsvik. The villiage itself is perfect to visit Snaefellsnes peninsula and you have good chances to see nothern lights (we saw some). Everything was clean and quite new in the apartment and it was really big. We stayed with 4 persons (2 seperate rooms) and we had a living room with kitchen. It was a really nice stay and the best location we had during our journey through Island.

    Great location in the center of town, a short walk to the town grocery store, information center and mini museum. Easy parking, and a fast charger for my car across the street. Huge room, nice views over the working harbor. Good restaurant downstairs. Ólafsvík is a very cute town and great base to explore Snæfellsnes.

    Very clean and helpful staff. Description on website was correct. Try and visit the Seaman's Garden (Sjómannagarðurin) nearby the accommodation. It shows great respect to the seamen that have lost their lives while fishing from the town of Ólafsvík.

    The breakfast was bare minimal. Compared to the other hotels, it was poor. Coffee machine out of order. Staff were not friendly. The fridge/ the cold storage area smelt.
