A cute hotel in a little village. We had an awesome stay and the people working there were really friendly. We had a laugh with the girl at the reception and she helped us figure out what we could do around the village. She was really helpful. There was also a cafe on the other side of the road which was owned by the people of the hotel, so we spent the evenings there. It had a nice vibe. Near the cafe was a guesthouse (Taergesen) also owned by them. The girl from the reception gave us a tour of the guesthouse and it was really cosy and sweet. Next time we might try that :) Finally there was breakfast included in the hotel and we had a big choice of food. We could eat as much as we wanted, so everyday we started with a good meal. Our stay was Austur in Reydarfjordur was one of our favourites. Such another life than the one we are used to. Felt like you were in another world.

The perfect place to stay for those who like convenience and simplicity on their travels.

Beautiful place inside and out! Wish we had more time to spend here. The room was nice with comfy beds and bedding. The hot tub outside was fantastic with amazing views. A cute little silver fox was the cherry on top!

This little house cannot be called luxury, but it is incredibly cozy. We had the best three days of our 2-weeks journey around Iceland in this place. It is especially well equipped with every little detail to make you feel at home and relaxed. The kitchen has everything one might think of. Small but very cozy bedroom, where you feel like in a cradle and don't want to leave. Thank you very much to the owner who has thought of everything with love and care! Very much recommended!!!

This family-owned, eastern Iceland property is located on Route 95, about 17 km from the town of Egilsstadir. It offers cottage and guest room accommodation with views of Sandfell Mountain.

This is our favorite accommodation of the trip! We spent two nights here, but I'm sorry we didn't stay longer. The place is superb, and the people who live there are adorable. The place is quiet, very charming, the cottage is perfectly equipped, perfect for a couple. We enjoyed the barbecue and outdoor table. There are lots of birds, horses, cats... We loved it here (cottage with private bathroom). Many thanks to Johanna!

A good location for a hassle-free holiday in Hallormsstaður, Mjóanes accommodation is a guest house surrounded by views of the lake.

We used the hot tub and sauna, which was great after a long day of travel. And we saw beautiful northern lights at this location. Elsa was kind to show them to us as they started up, and informed the other guests next to us also. They were a spectacular show of northern lights, and one of the highlights of our trip. We also got to give the sheep a bottle. So cute!
