Definitely a place I would visit again! Room was modern, clean and with amazingly comfortable bed. Bathroom had fantastic shower. As a location there is supermarket on 2-3 minutes walking distance and for another like 10 more minutes you are at the centre. The system with codes for the doors is pretty convenient and easy to use. Overall this is a great option for staying in Reykjavík.

Iceland is an expensive place to eat and drink.

Iceland is an expensive place to eat and drink. We had breakfast included in our room rate each day so saved quite a few dollars. We had a rental car, the hotel had no parking. We soon worked out where to park the car near the hotel overnight for free. Parking is strictly enforced in Iceland. We used supermarkets to buy or make our lunches and dinners where we spent out in restaurants (not cheap). The cheapest place to eat is Ikea - you need a car to get there unless public transport by bus can be worked out. Snorkelling between the tectonic plates was the best. Hot pools in Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal Baths was excellent and not expensive (take a towel from the hotel). Blue Lagoon is over rated and too expensive.

People are very relaxed, helpfull and very pleasent. The city is not large, can be walked accross. We had not much time for excursions, 'couse it was a business trip, we tried to see the aurora, but no luck )-:. Also visited the Blue Lagoon, nice experience. In all, it is a nice place to visit, but too expensive for my taste.

There are lots of little streets to discover with hidden gems be it for food or shopping there is plenty of choice ,we ate at Reykjavik fish restaurant its just beside rainbow road, the prices are reasonable and the food is great, parking is no problem in the city just keep driving till you see a spot .Sightseeing in the city with the cool looking church at night lit up. The lighthouse is about 15 mins drive were you might catch the norther lights. We had a four day stay so much of our time was travelling south.

Reykjavik is quite easy to walk around in the downtown core.

Reykjavik is quite easy to walk around in the downtown core. Pretty buildings, great shopping, lots of restaurant choices, etc. We loved going to the pools and it was a good place to start our tour of Iceland. Prepare for expensive restaurant meals, but everywhere we ate was delicious. We enjoyed the whale museum, lava centre, museum of Iceland, and the Perlan (the only northern lights we got to see on our trip!).

My son and I traveled to Iceland for a 5 night vacation, staying in Reykjavik for a total of 3 nights. What a wonderful, safe, friendly city! We stayed downtown in 2 different areas, both walkable to the many museums, restaurants, and shopping districts. Reykjavik is colorful, with buildings and street art abundant. Reykjavik is also expensive, as is all of Iceland, so prepare to spend almost double for food, drink, and gifts as you would in the U.S. That being said, I loved it, and will be back!

Great place to stay in the heart of Reykjavik city centre. The apartment was spacious, very clean and comfortable. It is located on paid parking zone, but there were plenty of space to park your car, even in the high tourist season. A little tip for parking - park in zone P3 it is on 70-100m from the apartment, it is a way cheaper than P1. In the apartment there is everything you need for you stay. Even in the city centre it was quiet and you can rest after long day of exploring and hiking in Icelandic nature.
