We had an excellent stay at Solheimahjaleiga Guesthouse. They surprised us with a free room upgrade when we checked in, the staff was incredibly friendly, there was free parking on site, and the complimentary breakfast was more than enough! The staff was so kind and gave us great recommendations on things to do and sites to see around Vik. It was about a 20min drive outside of Vik which gave us great opportunities to view the Aurora Borealis on the property. I would highly recommend Solheimahjaleiga to anyone traveling through or looking to stay in the countryside of Iceland.

We checked in a bit late but Patrizia really took care of us! We needed help since we got soaked in the rain and she really did her best at that hour and managed to find a solution for us. Very comfortable room and we had everything we needed for our 1 night stay in Vik. (Including netflix and breakfast) Thankyou :) !

The best matters we slept in a week in Iceland. 10/10. Also, I really like clean and quiet room. Breakfast was also top (we had herring and salmon) and good variety of fruits and vegetables.

The cozy self check in Hotel Skoga is just 5 minutes walk from the spectacular Skogafoss Waterfall located at the foot of the Eyjafjallajökull glacier.

This was our favorite stay of our whole trip to Iceland! We lucked out and got the corner room with a view of Skógafoss and the field of sheep. Breakfast was delicious and we were excited to find they had a hot tub! We’ve agreed that if we return to Iceland we will be staying here again.

The place was perfect. Calm, quite and just perfect. The location is good for visiting the black beach and the lighthouse. The kitchen is really full with tools, we really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing staff, very friendly and accommodating, from the reception and restaurant staff to the general manager. Very clean and comfortable rooms, fantastic breakfast buffet in a very calm ambiance. Wonderful location close to, but far enough away from, many of the best attractions on the south coast.
