The hotel was fresh and contemporary- very comfortable and efficient. The staff were all friendly and helpful. great bar- with a real bartender. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic and the server was a pro, and knowledgeable about the island and gave recommendations for next day activities.

Older house with character, right downtown, so very convenient and charming on the inside. Host was responsive during our stay, even arranging for something requested (last minute, shortly after our arrival) to be delivered to the house! Living room and eating area were well outfitted and welcoming. The house had a large TV (WITH ENGLISH CHANNELS) which was awesome (I think the only place during our Iceland trip)! Blackout curtains were good (no need for eye masks).

My stay at the Westman exceeded my expectations. There was no on-site staff, so I was emailed codes for the keypads on the front door and to my room. The room was very comfortable and the location was perfect. But where the hotel exceeded my expectations was after I checked out. I made it all the way back to Reykjavik before I realized I'd -- stupidly -- left my camera in the room. I called the hotel's number and they were just about to reach out to me. They went above and beyond to find someone to take my camera across on the ferry and deliver it to my hotel in Reykjavik the next morning, well before I had to leave for the airport for my flight home. That is exceptional customer service. Thank you, Westman Islands Inn!
