We booked one transit night with late check in and very early check out, so airport proximity was a must. It's a taxi drive away (15 minutes) but it's so well located that we walked a few meters down the road to a 24/7 super market and were able to grab dinner despite the late hour.

Loved the calm energy the property exudes. The staff at the front desk were just lovely and extremely friendly/helpful! Room was immaculate and it was very close to the KEF airport so convenient. Nice touch w the outdoor hot tub as well.

Looks better than the pictures. Very clean and cozy place, we were only there for two days because we went somewhere else, but I wish we could have stayed longer. We arrived at 1am (01:00), There was a 24/7 reception that was very nice and helped us. In addition, the parking near the hotel is free. The hotel is located in a 10-minute drive from the airport. There is a very nice breakfast from 4pm to 10am, for 3100 crowns per person. They served scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon, fresh vegetables and fruits, cheese and cereal . There was also a dessert and hot and cold drinks. At the entrance there was a small kiosk where you could buy food and drinks. Plus, the room was cleaned every day. Overall the place is very good. Highly recommend.

Vogar is obviously just a bedroom community for Reykjavik...

Vogar is obviously just a bedroom community for Reykjavik with little there except a hotel, a motel, and a single uninteresting restaurant. It is convenient to the airport, the Blue Lagoon, and an excellent lava tube attraction. It is also close to the recent volcano eruption should you want to see than. The volcano was sleeping when we visited. It is far out of the path of the lava flow so it is quite safe.

It was close to airport.

It was close to airport. Room was overpriced for the accommodation. Breakfast we had to pay for but wish we would have just stopped at a gas station instead. The guy wears a chef jacket but only thing that was cooked was boiled eggs. Price for breakfast was too costly for what you get.

We didn't see any supermarkets, restaurants, or gas stations. That means you have to plan differently. However, the advantages of the Motel Arctic Wind make that "inconvenience" irrelevant.

Excellent hotel for the last night before your flight home.

Excellent hotel for the last night before your flight home. You can park your car right in front of the room. Early departure is no problem. But that doesn't mean you couldn't stay longer!

Unfortunately, Vogar offers absolutely nothing.

Unfortunately, Vogar offers absolutely nothing. No shops, no restaurants, no bars. It's just a place with apartments and houses belonging to locals. Lacking any charm, but with good connections to the airport.
