We initially arrived to a different hotel (5*) booked for the entire stay. We quickly realized that 5* standard in Sardinia is not what you get in other countries. The value for money is very low. You feel being ripped off for everything. Facilities very old.. luckily and by chance we found Tenuta Pilastru. The big difference to many hotels we checked on Sardinia is 1) Professional employees - great service everywhere (which is not given in Italy) from reception to restaurant (we were given also free upgrade of the room as it had no balcony - very nice gesture, and we actually prolonged our stay!) 2) NEW facilities, also not given in Italy. Not bland colors and old furniture. New bathroom, new bedroom, everything is of high quality and new, finally felt back to 2023 (in other hotel it was back in 70s). 3) location - is great hidden in the nature, beautiful to relax. Very well taken care of! 4) food in the restaurant was great and not overpriced, freshly made and very tasty.

The hotel is just outside of Arzachena in a very peaceful setting with stunning views of the hills. It is an easy drive to several beaches and beautiful spots on the coast. To reach anything you need a car so it is best suited for those who want a relaxing stay. The tranquil setting allows you to really disconnect. The rooms felt very natural in the aesthetic, with a large terrace. Everything was clean and comfortable. The grounds were very nice, especially the pool area. We didn't want to leave. And the restaurant was amazing! Delicious food in a beautiful setting! The best part was the staff! Everyone was super helpful and friendly especially the reception staff. I would love to come back one day and can highly recommend the hotel, as we had a wonderful stay.

It’s a beautiful property with lovely grounds, beautiful old buildings that have been restored tastefully, we were upgraded into a Superior suite which was huge, comfortable bed, sitting room and a balcony, we shared a lovely pool area with a few other suites although it was pretty much just us. Martina at reception was very helpful to us thank you, it was a beautiful breakfast on the terrace overlooking the grounds. We used the hotel as a base to explore the area and it worked well for us, there are some nice restaurants around the area but you will need to ask for them and book. We would stay here again if we were to come back to Sardinia!

It was so quiet and peaceful. The hosts were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was incredible. The beds were super comfy and the rooms themselves were really nicely decorated. The cats were adorable! Make sure you follow Giovanni’s advice on getting the google maps directions once you have reached Arzachena. It will prevent you from getting to the B&B on the unmade dirt track and will instead lead you there by a much shorter and better made dirt road just off of the main road. Great location for reaching Palau to explore La Maddalena archipelago. Around 20-25 mins away. A car is definitely required. Thank you for a great stay!
