A nice, old-fashioned hotel, with very big rooms, calm and comfortable. I've stayed many times in this hotel and don't even remember in which room I stayed this time. They are all big, sometimes simpler, sometimes more cosy. Very clean. The breakfast is just fantastic: not only there is a lot of choice, but the quality is also great. The situation is just perfect, in the middle of the old town, near shops, bars and restaurants. I love it. There was no parking place anymore in the hotel parking when we arrived, and our car was full. We had to park just outside the hotel - and it was fine.

Everything was more than perfect. The receptionist with eyeglasses is the best I have ever met. The check in was made in 2 min, useful information friendly been given and also very respectful and welcoming. In the very center of Reggio Emilia, this hotel is amazing. An old-school hotel with valet parking service (if you park in their garage), and wonderful old-school decor. Location is 10/10, staff is amazing, the rooms (we were at their detached location only 3 minutes walk away from the main hotel) are spacious and clean... and the self-service breakfast is a perfect start of the day, with so many different breakfast options that noone can leave it wanting more. The beds are comfy, the shower is spacious and as hot as you might want it. But again, location location location. You step out of the door on the alley smack in the middle of the old town. Along with the possibility to park at the hotel (if you're travelling by car), perfect.

After over 6 hours of driving we needed a place that had ample parking, easy access and air conditioned. Hotel Remilia ticked all the boxes. It was very easy to get to. It is set back from the highway so there was no noise. It's 10 minutes drive away from the town center. The staff were very friendly and happy to assist in any way. The room was big and comfortable. Had all the amenities needed.. But no tea tray. Cafe is in the lobby, and they will bring you anything you like to order from there. The staff were quick. Got an iron and board 5 minutes after I requested it. The receptionist assisted us booking a wonderful restaurant in town ( as they may not speak English). She even ordered a taxi and informed him of our destination. It's 11 euros in a metered taxi. The town has a ZTL zone where only authorised cars are allowed in. Check Google for ZTL zone if you want to drive there. It's a very beautiful town. Taxi stands are next to Piazza della Vittoria. Or get the card from the taxi and call them whenever you want. They speak English and they arrive almost immediately. Breakfast is good..and if you require anything special I am sure they will try to make/get it for you. The hotel restaurant opens after 7pm ( as do most of the restaurants in towns in Italy). Don't forget to enjoy their ice-cream. It's gelato galore!! Open till 11.30pm!
