Beautiful countryside apartment with comfortable amenities just 6km away from city.. I like to live away from busy city and this is ideal. The owner is so kind and accessible. I realized a self checkin hotel is also easily possible. Nice neighborhood. There is also a vineyard next.

Doing a 2 month roadtrip around Europe and with so much to see we chose Bologna as a five day base from which we could explore. Location, outside of the city, was perfect for us and was very easy to find off of the main motorway. Private parking was big and secure and the apartment was very well equipped with A/C and shutters. There isn't a great deal local as mostly Industrial but that suited us as we were out all day and used the kitchen to prepare evening meals after the long days. The train station is about a 10 minute walk and then it is only 10 more minutes into Bologna Centrale at a cost of only €1.50. From here we were able to get trains to Venice, Florence and Pisa. Communication was great and, when we had a little car trouble on departure day, host was very helpful and flexible. Apartment gave us just what we needed at a fraction of what it would cost to stay centrally especially if driving.

    It's a rather remote, quiet town.

    It's a rather remote, quiet town. Nothing to draw one to except quiet and near the Bologna airport. I ended up choosing to heat up a packaged curry/rice meal from the supermarket, as the only other choice (since I didm't have a car) was a pizzeria.

    We used this place as a starting point to visit: - the historic centre of Bologna (20 min. by a car) - Ferrari Museum in Maranello (50 min.) - Lamborghini factory and museum in Santa Agatha (20 min.) Airport: For some, it may be important that this place is near the airport of Bologna. Restaurant: From the accommodation we got a tip about the restaurant Ristorante Pizzeria "Itaca" in Calderara di Reno - excellent 👍 (10min. by a car) Visit Bologna: Bologna is a very busy town with narrow streets. I strongly do not recommend going into the historic centre by a car. Use the underground garages on the outskirts of the historic centre - e.g. on Via Riva di Reno and then walk

    I had a flight with a very short connection, so I was looking for an inexpensive hotel with a private bathroom - in case I miss connecting flight to Bologna. This hotel was the cheapest I found and better than I expected. It definitely needs renovation, and it looks like parts of rooms were renovated, but not everything. Room and bathroom were spacious, rather clean, many towels provided. Short taxi ride from the airport. Bus stop (to the city) close to the hotel. Suitable for late arrivals. Very efficient check-in.

    Clean, comfortable & quiet. Travelled to GattoMoro by bus from Bologna Central Station. From there it's an easy 50m walk. The village has a bakery, Coop & pizzeria if you intend to eat out or buy supplies. If you are after a quiet location after staying in larger cities this is a really nice option. Very close to to airport and accessible by bus. Francesco was a great host.
