Incredible views. Clean and well stocked apartment. Amazing host who talks you through everything. I took a risk with there not being many reviews and was one of the most beautiful stays I've ever been to. Castelmola is absolute paradise and super easy to get to Taormina and avoid the crowds. There are about 5 incredible restaurants in Castelmola and the duomo square has a great vibe. I wholeheartedly recommend Casa Damico.

The view from the terrace is truly fantastic, also in winter. We could not get enough of it. Also the location is perfect, in the very heart of the town, and still well connected to Taormina. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful, and quickly respond to any requests.

Absolutely wonderful in every way. The room was immaculate , the bed super, comfortable. Gardens and view spectacular Gian Luca was welcoming and very helpful. Beautiful surroundings and touches at every turn. Breakfast by Angelo was outstanding, so many homemade choices including fresh smoothies. Truly exceptional!! Then the dinner, we had to return on our second night for dinner again, he is a spectacular chef! It is also very pretty at night in the restaurant and in the gardens. Overall I highly recommend this lovely establishment.

Castel Mola is a picturesque hilltop town above Taormina. There is a limited bus service but I would not recommend a car. There are lots of steps and narrow streets. The restaurants were good value. The church is interesting and there are great views of Etna.

Quaint town set on the top of a hill - quite amazing to...

Quaint town set on the top of a hill - quite amazing to visit! Fantastic views of Mt Etna and surrounds. Many cute restaurants and terraces. If you have the opportunity to stay for dinner the town has a different feel in the evening once the day trippers has have left. The famous Bar Turrisi is fantastic for drinks, dinner or Gelato.

It is a beautiful little mountain top village.

It is a beautiful little mountain top village. Nice hike/walk down to Taormina or easy bus if you wish. Great place to relax. I would worry about it being even more overrun with tourists in peak season but it makes sense why. If you drive by car and are not comfortable with small, steep roads - take some anxiety meds and take your time!

Quiet and quaint village.

Quiet and quaint village. The views are amazing, there are the basic shops like pharmacy and grocer in case you need something. The only downside is the frequency of the busses out of Castelmola. The first one is about 6.30am-7am to go to Taormina, and then the next one is 10am. Most shops open around 10am, except for the cafe in the piazza and the pharmacy, which open earlier. You can get anywhere in Castelmola on foot. There is also il sentiero dei Saraceni which takes you on foot to Taormina. It is a steep walk down so prepare comfortable shoes if you plan on taking this walk.

Amazing place to stay.

Amazing place to stay. We went to Taormina for the day and enjoyed Castelmola during the evenings. Amazing view of the city and Mt Etna from the castle. It was easy to get to Taormina and we used both walking paths to get upto Castelmola, we enjoyed both paths equally. Loads of good shops/restaurants in the area too. Pizzeria Nina for pizza was amazing.

Amazing view, comfortable, spacious room and clean all throughout. Hosts try and assist as much as they can! We could stay in the balcony all day and never become tired of the amazing view. The location is perfect for viewing Mount Etna and the sea below. The apartment is spotless. The facilities are very good. The host Alberto is very friendly and helpful. He even offered to bring us to the apartment from the railway station by car. He showed us around Taormina and Castelmola. We quite enjoyed the short stay in the apartment.

Very well equipped, fully renovated apartment in the center of the old town. The view from the roof terrace to the sea is fantastic. Checking in and out is very easy. We highly recommend it. Castelmola is a beautiful place.
